Joe McNally will be presenting two seminars on November 16 at Unique Photo.
The first event, Joe McNally: The Light and the Life will run for one hour, from 11am-12:30pm. Light is language, for a photographer, and Joe will show how he has used light in many ways, shapes and forms during his career as a shooter for magazines like National Geographic, LIFE, and Sports Illustrated as well as for many commercial clients. He will show examples of light and light theory, and discuss survival strategies derived from many years on the road, on assignment, camera in hand.
The second event, to be held in the afternoon, from 1:30-4:30pm requires a ticket to attend. Joe McNally: Concept to Completion. Building the shot – LIVE. During this 3 hour event, Joe will be shooting on site. Quality, color and direction are the big three of light. Using all of these in a three-hour seminar, Joe will explore the ability of the location photographer, using both big and small flash, to create shadow, graphic power and drama in pursuit of rendering a storytelling photograph. Working in concert with models, Joe will demonstrate light, interact with his subjects and offer advice on technique and approach. Joe and his lights are well-traveled and he is noted for being completely candid and open with information on the life, times and techniques of being a photographer.
Nikon Representatives will be on hand during the event to answer any questions and demo new equipment.
Hours: November 16, 2019 • 11:00am - 12:30pm for the first seminar; 1:30pm - 4:30pm for the second seminar.
