Capture the unique energy of New York City with one of six limited edition strap and hot shoe cover kits created in collaboration with NYC SALT. Each bold design is inspired by photographs taken by NYC SALT students.

It’s about eyes witnessing and hands reaching through layers of graffiti. Raw, unfiltered voices speak across concrete canvasses, creating the true record of culture and history.  The camera strap is 41 mm wide and features a printed pattern on one side, solid black on the other and embossed Nikon logos at both ends. The matching zinc-alloy hot shoe cover slides easily into the hot shoe and shares the same design as the strap. Both items are compatible with all Nikon mirrorless and DSLR cameras. 

NYC SALT is an artist-led digital nonprofit photography residency that creates opportunities for teens from public schools in New York City. Nikon’s partnership with SALT spans more than 20 years, and our latest collaboration is an expression of the relationship between the students and their community. They were invited to share their vision of New York City through photography—from the textures of sidewalks to colorful details and abstract impressions of city life. Through their photography, the spirit of New York City shines—raw, vivid and true—a testament to the power of seeing and being seen. 

The resulting imagery inspired a limited-edition series of six unique camera straps and hot shoe covers.
