AF-S Teleconverter TC800-1.25E ED is a dedicated teleconverter, designed specifically for use with the AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens and tuned together with the lens to maximize optical and AF performance.
Minimum focus distance is 5.9 meters from the focal plane (5.8 meters in manual focus) when connected to the AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens.
Nikon's first teleconverter to employ an ED glass element, to correct chromatic abberations.
Autofocus is possible when attached to f/8 compatible cameras.

Angle of view: FX vs. DX

As of 2/21/2013 the online detailed description of the new 800mm lens gives the angle of view with a DX sensor as wider than with an FX sensor. Since that's nonsense, please specify the actual angles of view.

I'm sorry, I meant to post this in the lens forum. It's the description of the lens, not the teleconverter, that's wrong.
