Turn VR off and use a tripod for night scenes

In night landscape shooting using extremely slow shutter speeds, image blur cannot be effectively reduced even with VR (Vibration Reduction). In such cases, use of a tripod is recommended. Please be sure to switch VR off when a tripod is used. However, with VR lenses that detect tripod vibration and automatically reduce the effect, set VR on, and with lenses that employ "Tripod mode", set VR on and select Tripod mode.
For details, refer to "VR mode options: Tripod mode (Tripod vibration reduction)".
