Key Features

Slip-on lens hood provided with select NIKKOR lenses.
By reducing the amount of non-essential light falling onto the front lens element, lenses can better achieve their optimum optical performance, producing more saturated images.
Use of specifically engineered Nikon lens hoods is highly recommended.
In less-than-ideal lighting conditions, the performance difference can be substantial.
HK-35 Snap-on Lens Hood 5 5 1 1
Excellent 2 piece lens hood I have to say this is a very robust Lens hood that has versatility in that you can split the hood into 2 sections that allows the user to use only a partial section of the lens hood in lighting situations that still let you keep external glare from creeping onto the lens but allows a little more surrounding light in matrix metering or you can opt for the full extension of the hood and Spot or Centerweighted metering would have more advantage of use but eliminating almost all chance of light source reflections, the hood construction is very durable and made from Carbon Fiber and is light weight but with just a thumb screw to tighten it around the lens barrel is very fast for assembly and take down and reverses itself onto the Lens for storage.
