Can this be used to adapt 10-pin accessories to the Nikon D600?

I use a Nikon ML-3 that connects to my Nikon D1X via its 10-pin port.
The Nikon D600 does not have a 10-pin port. I know the D600 has front & rear IR ports, but you have to be in front of or behind the camera & the new remote is very limited in range.

Answer:
The specifications for the GP-1A recommends using a cord less than 33ft. for it may effect the accuarcy of the GPS data. The GP1-CA10A is approximately 10 inches. Nikon recommends the use of only Nikon accessories with its cameras and cannot guarantee performance with the use of third party accessories.
