Frame your storm photograph before it happens. Remember that the sky is your subject, so dramatic clouds are what you’re framing for, and then you hope that lightning will happen in that space. Keep the horizon in the lower third of the frame with the sky the top two-thirds.

With the Nikon Data Reader MV-1, shooting data stored in your Nikon F5, F6 or F100 35mm (135) format SLRs can be easily viewed and manipulated on your personal computer.

Using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel, the transferred data can now be easily viewed and manipulated on your computer.

The data is first transferred from the camera to a memory card set in the MV-1, where it can then be transferred to a Mac or PC.

The Nikon MV-1 allows you to transfer the recorded shooting data that's stored inside the F100 camera for each shot as a text file (.txt) to a Compact Flash card (CF Type I, included). Data can then be transferred from the memory card to your personal computer, and used with data management programs like Excel, etc.
