Good pictures, slow speed to get more photos I got this from my supervisor for field work. It takes good pictures, the zoom is OK for what it is, but the slow speed drives me crazy. It literally takes 10-15 seconds inbetween each shot. As the other reviewer stated, it does like to eat batteries. I have recharables and can get about 20 or so photos before they need to be replaced. Older technology I guess. April 12, 2012
Goes through batteries like crazy RE: CoolPix L12 Although the camera takes great pictures and is easy to use, we rarely get more than 10 pictures before having to replace batteries. We reported this to the retailer. They said to use better batteries, We did. Tried almost every brand on the market, even lithium batteries. The results were the same - 6-12(max) pictures per battery set. After reading great reviews, we just purchased a CoolPix S8100 - it has a rechargeable battery. December 30, 2010
