I have a 77mm NC with smudges on it. I am using one of the Nikon Lens Pens but it doesn't seem to be removing the smudges. Does Nikon recommend anything else to clean their filters with?

Answer: 
The best way to clean a filter is to use a piece of lint free lens cleaning tissue and a small amount of Lens Cleaning solution. Do not use anything containing abrasives or solvents, only use Lens Cleaning Solution.
