Excellent semi wide-angle for DX
Just picked this lens up second-hand and it's wonderful! Sharp images and a great field of view compared to my 50 1.4. I would love to eventually step up to a 24 1.4 to still have the super shallow DoF, but this is killer in the meantime! Highly recommended!

perfect wide
at the price is middle, not too cheap also to expensive.
sharp and still can get DOF.
at the first time I feel a bit regret because my plan was want to buy 35mm but they don't have it. then they over me this lens, I thought its not too wide like 24mm, and not enough DOF like 35mm, when I try it, sharpness of picture amaze me, still can get DOF, also have a nice distortion when I try close up, fast enough on f/2.8

Awesome Prime Lens
Great lens for the price. This lens allows for shallow depths-of-field while preserving the ability to capture wide angels.

Depending on your situations. 28mm is not very far and you need to get walk closer to things. I recommend the 50mm F1.8 because it's cheaper and opens wider.Answer:

Nikon offers two types of autofocus digital camera bodies: those with a built-in focus drive motor and those which require a lens to have a motor. Cameras such as the D60 do not have a focus motor in it so they require the lens to have the focusing motor – an “AF-S” lens. While these bodies can use a lens with no focus motor (an “AF” lens) you would have to manually turn the focus ring to bring the subject in to sharp focus.11 months ago
