Imaging-Resource's Mike Pasini awarded the Nikon COOLIX P5100 a "Dave's Pick." Pasini was impressed with the P5100's photographic control and quality as well as its light, compact camera body. Pasini called the P5100 a serious, versatile camera that is attractive as well as comfortable to use. Pasini noted that the P5100 offered full program, shutter, aperture and manual exposure modes alongside 15 scene modes providing users even more control in their pictures. Additionally, he was impressed with the P5100's easy to navigate menu system which allows for better understanding and use of the camera's controls and features.
