Effective for accurate focusing

Which area of the subject should be accurately focused? It is an important factor in image creation. Even the slight difference of focused position may change the blurred range and spoil the photographer's intention. The difference is more conspicuous especially in telephoto and macro shooting that requires focusing on a very small area. Because Nikon's VR (Vibration Reduction) system is incorporated in the lens, blur in the viewfinder image is also effectively corrected. The clear and stable viewfinder image enables precise focusing. For details, refer to "Clear and stable viewfinder image: Autofocus".

Front subjects are focused as intended.

Focused area is shifted backward and rear subjects are fucused unintentionally.
