You’ll learn the importance of the quality of light and how it relates to your images; as well as how to modify light for a great photograph. Photograph a model, work with the Nikon Creative Lighting system and produce your own images.

Explore effective lighting and how to capture stunning portraits. Leave the workshop with the confidence to control your DSLR camera using prime and zoom lenses along with the Nikon Creative Lighting System. Experiment with added accessories in order to create beautiful images.

The Portrait Lighting Workshop is taught by four of Nikon's own Professional Markets Technical Reps: (top row l. to r.) Joseph "JC" Carey, Andy Dunaway and (bottom row l. to r.) Brien Aho and Chad McNeeley. “JC” loves to shoot long exposures, sports, and concerts but it’s his love of light and lighting that fuels his passion for photography. Andy served in the Air Force for 22 years as a combat photographer. His dedication to the craft of photography is proven by the countless awards and accolades he’s received over the years. Brien is also a multi-award winning retired navy photojournalist, and a graduate of the Military Photojournalism program at Syracuse University. Chad served in the Navy as a photojournalist for 20 years. He’s been published in numerous publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME and Newsweek magazines.
