Key Features

The MC-DC2 enables remote firing of select D-SLRs.
Length: three and a third ft.
MC-DC2 Remote Release Cord (1 meter) 5 5 2 2
Essential kit When using slower shutter speeds on a tripod, this is essential in minimizing vibration. I bought an extra for my tripod bag just in case (kinda of a "don't leave home without it" accessory). July 18, 2012
My Favorite Accessory This is my favorite accessory. I carry a tripod and this cable to use when conditions allow - no people around; no wind - to enable long range telephoto shots and dim light shots. This shutter release cable is perfect for my D5100: easy connection, easy and smooth operation. But get acquainted with the movement of the switch. Note that it does not operate the video since that is a separate firing mechanism. September 13, 2011

Yes, you can shoot continuously with the MC-DC2 remote. It works without turning the dial on the D7000 to the remote setting. The MC-DC2 even has a switch to lock down the shutter release button.
