Great Camera! I just purchased this camera and have been taking lots of test photos to get the hang of it. Its very light, the lenses are extremely easy to change. I haven't tested out all the features, but I'm sure they will work great! The color is fantastic also. The pictures are very clear and the auto focus is quick also. May 30, 2013
Awesome little camera! I love using this camera. It is small, yet does everything the big guys do without the weight. I enjoyed using it on a biking trip, and look forward to using it next week in NY. It takes some amazing shots, I love the creative setting. Everyone has commented on the photos I've posted using that setting. I don't feel that I'm missing out on anything using this camera. I get to take action shots, and then pick the ones I like or use the one the camera picks. Great buy! October 18, 2012
more features than I know what to do with Perfect entry level camera. Love the simplicity. Love the system. I would certainly recommend this camera and camera system. March 11, 2013

Answer:
It is not compatible with Camera Control Pro 2.
I know it is supported by Lightroom but you'll have to check with Adobe as to what is supported.

Answer:
Available shutter speeds on the Nikon1 J2 are 1/1600 second to 30 seconds in steps of 1/3 EV and Bulb/Time. To set the J2 for a 10 second exposure, rotate the mode dial to Creative Mode, press the F button, select "P,S,A,M" and hit OK. Then click Menu and go to the Exposure Mode settings in the Creative Mode menu. Selecting either S or M as your Exposure Mode will allow you to choose your shutter speed. Do this by moving the Control Lever (next to the F button) up or down until the shutter speed displays as 10". If you choose S mode the camera will adjust the aperture value for you. If you choose M mode you will need to manage the aperture by rotating the mode dial.

Please see page 29 of the Nikon1 J2 manual for more information on the P,S,A,M modes. A copy of the J2 manual can be downloaded from this address:
