Small tools that work I originally got this with my old 55/2.8 macro lens. Now with a D7000 my old AIS lenses can come out to play and this (and the other rings) give them great close-up utility. It's strong-all metal construction makes one confident to stack them together to get ever closer. I'd recommend a macro rail for precise focusing as you exceed 1:1 - the DR-6 with it's 2X magnification also helps. May 27, 2011

Having read other posts, I understand I will lose metering and autofocus; that's ok. But will it work at all and will I be able to set aperature and shutter speeds? Thanks. Marty
