NX2 Check for updates never works

For my friend's senior pictures their are specific head size requirements

I updated to ver.2.2.7, but the program still crashes while working on nef files.
I used before version 2.2.4 and 2.2.6 (both had crashes).
I need a fast solution!

I have been using Capture NX 2 for a few years . Are there any upgrades or fixes for this older program?
I do not want to switch, but I may have to a newer version is not forthcoming,... SOON!

I already have NX2 on 2 computers. I am retiring one of the computers and I would like to load NX2 onto the new computer. How do I get the software deactivated on the old computer so that I can install and activate it on the new computer?

I have a great D100 that still works beautifully...Can I use NX? Or is there something else? I used Capture 4 for years and loved it...Is it still available, if NX won't work for the D100?

I have two SD cards in my D7000, one to record Jpeg, one to record Raw. When I download from the camera ALL images are encoded as Jpeg on my computer. What do I need to do to download Raw files as NEF?

I can find no trace of the previously installed and updated program, directory or anything else.

I recently switched to Mac, and reinstalled NX2 with my existing product key. Everything has worked fine the past few weeks, until yesterday when I forcefully closed NX2 after starting it by mistake while my system was already under load from existing applications. Since then, when I try and start NX2, it shows the splash screen, but does not proceed beyond that.

Just to clarify, I am on Lion, and I have a valid legal copy of NX2. I also have View NX which runs just fine. I've tried moving the cache folder out of the way, but NX2 just recreates the folder. Is there anything else I can do to repair my installation? From all my Googling, simply uninstalling and reinstalling won't do the trick.

When I enter the key code another screen comes up and asks for yet another key code for an older version (?). I was told by someone on the 800 service number that is all I would have to do is enter my key code from the PC version I bought last year.....

intel core2 quad proc, 8GB ram, 2x500GB HDD, Win 7 pro, Capture NX2 version 2.2.8. Resource monitor says that 5+GB is available at the same time as I get this error.

Have you some plans about this product ?

I am looking at purchasing Capture NX2 but I create Photo Books and do not wish to do them online and prefer to do it from within the software. If the software does not have this facility is there a plugin available?

I have an older trial version of Capture NX2 on my MacBook and when I start it it, I notice it is 32 bit. To run on Lion, it needs to be 64 Bit. I am desiring a migration from Aperture to Capture, but I have to know it is compatable before I purchase.

1st images from D800. Camera settings are not available in NX2. I know I must have some setting wrong, either NX2 or D800. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am an user of Capture NX 2. Recently after I upgrade to Lion on my iMAC, every picture in jpg or nef shown blue color when open. Could you give you some advice that how i can solve this display issue?
