Cord could be eliminated as it tangles when shooting
The cord could be taken out and the connectors could be fused into each other so as to provide a seamless connector device and serve as utility too
The option for this could be a connection through an electronic transmitter either through Bluetooth or the sort or plain a wi fi transmitter
cables cause a lot of stress when connecting and limit the camera to a single place

The MC-35 enables select Nikon D-SLRs with a 10 pin connector, to be connected to NMEA-0183 protocol compatible GPS (Global Positioning System) units, such as GARMIN™ and MAGELLAN™ for recording GPS positioning information and time signals synchronous to UTC (Universal Coordinated Time) within image data files during shooting (not with video).1 of 1
