Answer: 
No, the K3 screen (for FM3A) cannot be used with the N8008. The N8008 used its own B screen at the time. It cannot use the B3 screen or other B screens for different cameras.

I have a Nikon D300 iam haveing trouble focusing and getting the green light to stay on.Can i change the focusing screen in my D300 to a Type K3 split center screen? Thanks Joe

not officially. but old-school split-prism focusing screens work only up to 4.5-5.6, have only one sweet spot, and tend to get really dark. what lens are you trying to focus?

The Type K3 Focusing Screen is for FM3A film camera. The correct one is the Type B BriteView Clear Matte Mark II with AF area brackets (grid lines can be displayed).
