Great Pocket Pro Took this camera on a vacation to Sweden in the extremely cold month of January 2014. Didn't have time to "learn" the camera since I took it new, straight out of the box. Realized what the camera could and couldn't do in the first hours of shooting - it is a point and shoot after all. After the first day of "testing" I discovered: 1. The correct flash to subject distance for ultimate flash coverage. 2. The extreme value of the Hand Held 3-exposure Night Setting. 3. Focusing with telephoto - going past minimum focus distance. 4. Using the macro setting properly. 5. And if I was lazy, switching it to Auto Scene Mode. This camera took awesome night shots on our subarctic cruise in extreme weather. I also used the Sports mode extensively for higher shutter speeds and for rapid fire captures. The video feature, perfect. After 3000 captures, I say: "What a fantastic camera." And: Nikon brand batteries are way cheaper than Canon - I took 3 batteries. Only thing I didn't like was the "Raise the Flash" warning that popped up every time I used the Auto Scene mode - a complete nuisance feature for this camera that cost me some important captures while waiting. By the way... the pics turned out extremely sharp and the colors awesome. February 3, 2014
Outstanding features and picture quality Looks like Consumer Reports got it right this time. This sub-compact is great for us. Got this for my wife to carry in her purse everywhere she goes. The larger sensor and 1.8 lens will let us shoot indoors without flash. The menu is the best we have seen on a cam this size and believe me, we have tried many. The easy to access mode changes are so convenient. Makes it easy to change shutter speed and f stops with the A and S settings. Just like our DSLR cams. The video mode works for us and I'm pleased with how well the auto focus keeps up with composition changes. we are very pleases with this camera. January 8, 2014
Great camera with lots of features and adustment possibilities As soon as I unpacked the P330 I fell in love with it. The camera has that quality touch and feel that you normally get from a SLR camera of good quality. The addition of the primary functions P,S,A, and M are exactly what was missing on my other Coolpix cameras. These settings can overcome the situations that the Auto function can't. The picture quality is superb. The lens with an f-stop of 1.8 is super and the range of the lens 24mm to 120mm is perfect for most general photography. All I can say is, that I love this jewel. April 26, 2013
This is my first digital camera. Until now all of my experience has been with 35mm and 6x7 film cameras. I am impressed with this camera's convenience, close-up, and low light capability. Pictures, so far, have dazzled me. April 16, 2013
The take anywhere camera, guaranteed not to dissappoint As an avid Nikon DSLR photographer, I was looking for a Camera that I could take anywhere without carrying all the bulk, but gives great results and flexability with manual controls and Raw imaging . Look no further ! Go get it. I did and love it to death. This feels good looks good acts good. Nothing bad to say about this purchase. Well worth it over the other point and shoots(pocketable sizes) with the Brand name starting with "C". Just amazing nothing else need be said May 16, 2013

Answer:
Coolpix P330 is made at a Nikon facility in China.
Nikon operates factories all across the globe and each operates to the same high standard. While individual cameras are marked with their country of manufacture we can't make a blanket statement about which camera is produced where.

Answer:
You will need to purchase an HDMI cable or use the EG-CP16 Audio/Video Cable that was included with the P330, and you need to make sure that you have the right input channel selected on the TV. If it is not working, try plugging a different electronic device into the same TV input to see if that work.

I was wondering if it is normal for the battery indicator to show that the battery is full right up until the moment it is exhausted. I heard that unlike other rechargeables, Lithium batteries provide nominal voltage until they are almost exhausted, and then it abruptly drops.

The camera tends to show full charge, and then suddenly says "Battery exhausted".

Answer:
The actual shutter release lag time is not part of the published specifications of this camera. However, the P330 is very fast. It has a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000s and its top Continuous Shooting Speed at full resolution is Up to 10 shots at approx. 10 frames per second. More information about the P330 can be read in the link below.

Answer:
If you use face priority AF area mode or pet detection or any shooting mode that detects faces, during playback, the camera automatically rotates images according to the orientation of the faces that were detected at the time of shooting.
The P330 image rotation setting is in the playback menu. Auto rotation is not one of the camera settings that can be change.

Answer:
When viewing an image on the P330, press the OK button to display the ISO and other shooting information. Press the OK button a second time to return to full-frame playback mode.

When shooting with "ISO Auto" selected, the ISO icon is not displayed at ISO 80, but is displayed if the ISO sensitivity increases automatically increases to higher than 80. When shooting with your ISO set to "Fixed Range Auto", the A-ISO icon will be displayed along with the maximum sensitivity value that you selected. The exact ISO sensitivity that is selected by the camera will not be displayed until after the picture is taken.

For more information on viewing the shooting information of an image see pages 11 and 28 of the P330 manual. For more information on the ISO sensitivity options in the P330 see page 41 of the Reference section of the P330 manual. A copy of the P330 manual can be downloaded from here: https://support.nikonusa.com/app/an...

Answer:
Yes, the camera’s imaging sensor’s physical size plays an important role in improving image quality especially when shooting at higher ISO’s.

I am trying to shoot time-lapse in the night sky. The P330 manual settings allows great pictures. However, when using the intervalometer it seems that I cannot use the same manual settings. The maximum shutter speed is set to 1sec, although the camera can shoot at 13sec or 20sec without intervalometer.
This prevents the creation of time-lapse of the summer sky.
Is there any way to use the intervalometer with settings such as: f/2.0, 13sec, ISO1600?

Answer:
Yes. Full control of all the camera settings is allowed in manual Mode. Set the mode dial to M and make your adjustments. The camera has a variable aperture of f/1.8-5.6 and therefore the aperture you will be able to select varies depending on the zoom position of the lens.

Following to the answer provided by NikonLaurence:

BUT when intervalometer is used (e.g. 1min) the maximum shutter speed is set to 1sec!
It is not possible to put manual settings at f/2.0, 13sec (disk to "M" for manual).

This prevents the creation of time-lapse of the summer sky.

Is there any way to use the intervalometer together with manual settings?

Answer:
When shooting in manual, the camera will only allow the highest shutter speed to be 1" and the highest f/stop would be f/1.8 when shooting at 10 minutes.
