Exceeded my expectations!! Just purchased this camera a few days ago to have @ our cottage. Spent the weekend in the water with the kids & the results were amazing! Images were sharp both above & below the water. Continuous mode was great for action shots of the kids jumping off the dock. Colours were beautiful & vivid. Very user friendly & had no hesitation handing it over to the kids (age 12 & 13). I own a Nikon D7000 so am familiar with the quality of Nikon & this little camera did not disappoint. If I had to recognize a flaw it would be the battery life. I was surprised that it was depleted after 300 images. BUT...we did spend a lot of time reviewing the photos so that had a significant part to play in the life of the battery for sure!! :-) (& a helpful hint...be sure & clear the lens of water droplets periodically!) Muito Boa! Eu tenho essa máquina e ela é super legal pq é resistente... posso tirar fotos aquáticas..etc... Super recomendo! ^^ April 30, 2014
Stunning underwater image quality! Dont get this camera, if you are planning to use it on a regular basic. It is an underwater camera and it does its job amazingly! Though "upwater" pictures are not that good. FullHD is really great with nice rich colors. The only minus is that the glass on a lens gets misted after a few minutes of an underwater use. May 5, 2014
June 1, 2014
WATER PROBLEM.... 1 and a half weeks ago I bought Nikon S32 and I tried to use it underwater. What happened? Camera Flash ran off.So I went to the servive in Greece, they fixed it and they told me that it will not be destroyed again. So today I went to the sea to play with my new camera. Now my camera is full of water inside.Nikon S32 is supposed to be waterproof and my camera now is destroyed (it doesn't even open....).I am very DISSAPOINTED from Nikon and her service in Greece....I gave you 109,00 euros to buy a waterproof camera, and now I have nothing. It's the second time I will take my camera to the service.and I just bought it.... I see that pink S32 cameras are currently being sold in the UK and Australia. I'm trying to decide whether I should wait for the pink one (my daughter loved her pink S31) or just go ahead and buy a blue or white one.

Answer:
In photography, the blurred background is called bokeh. Click here for more information on bokeh:
http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Learn-An...#@/en/Learn-And-Explore/Article/h0ndz86v/bokeh-for-beginners.html

You will find that bokeh is controlled by the aperture of the camera. Unfortunately you do not have the option to control the aperture on our COOLPIX cameras. You may find that some scene modes on the COOLPIX S32, such as Close Up, create the bokeh automatically.

Answer:
The COOLPIX S32 has selected style modes too choose from much as Firework and Underwater mode. The COOLPIX S32 also has an auto mode in which the camera chooses the settings to best take the picture in according to shooting conditions such as lighting. For day to day shooting, it is recommended to shoot in the auto scene mode.

Answer:
You can't, the only settings are for once shot each thirty seconds, one shot per minute or one shot every two minutes. You can download a copy of the user manual here:

Answer:
When you are in Shooting Mode, the counter will display the number of still photos that can still be taken using the current memory card. This will change depending on your memory card, camera settings, and image content. When you are in Playback Mode, the counter displays the number of the image that you are viewing in relationship to the total number of images currently on the card. Since both the Shooting & Playback counters display information relative to the current card, this information cannot be carried over from one card to another.

The S32 will carry over the file numbering that is used for the file names from card to card. You can force the number to reset by deleting the pictures on the internal memory and on the memory card and then choosing Reset All from the Camera Settings menu. For more info see page 44 of the Reference Section of the S32 manual. A copy of the S32 manual can be downloaded from this address:https://support.nikonusa.com/app/an....
