First time disappointed with a Nikon camera I bought this point and shoot camera in June 2014 for our family to take on trips when I don't want to bring the big camera. We went to a wedding and my husband and I took 125 pictures -- out of the bunch one came out clear, 45 came out usable, but a little out of focus and the rest were too blurred to use. After the wedding, we went home and got our other camera to take to the reception. I am so disappointed. I am going to call today and see if I can still return it. Basically, this is a camera that I can never use. Maybe this is a good underwater camera, but it should be both because Nikon is that good. July 6, 2014
August 10, 2014

Answer:
It is not a micro USB connector. Nor is it a mini USB connector. My previous answer, UC-E6, was accurate and correct. Please note that a "micro USB", technically a "Micro-B", nor a "Mini-B" will fit.
No USB standard cable will attach to the Coolpix S32's USB connector.

Answer:
Flash modes can be selected with the fuction buttons on the camera. The flash icon will appear on the screen of the camera and with the appropriate function button, the flash can be turned on or off or set to automatic. Setting the camera to automatic allows the flash to be used if needed according to the camera.
