replacing an older Nikon
if it isn't a Nikon it isn't a camera, I just love this one, easy to use just the right size to put in my purse or the case I already have. bought it for a Christmas gift and decided to keep it.

super image quality
One of the best point and shoot cameras I have ever owned. Bought on Black Friday and it has not been out of my hands yet. Keep it with me and it takes great kids photos of them in action and equally good senic photos. Good color and nightime Christmas lights on our home looked good too.

Great pictures but...
Camera lens is noisy and seems to struggle opening and shutting. The whole camera vibrates when it is turned on or off and when using the zoom lens. The lens does not slide in and out smoothly. Don't know if I got a bad one or this model is like this. My Coolpix L20 opens and shuts easily and smoothly.

So Far a great Camara
Bought this on black friday sale and so far I am extremely happy with it. I tested its ability to capture purples (which often end up too blue) and it did a wonderful job.

Camera Quit Working after 3 Weeks while on Holidays .
This is the 1st Nikon I've owned personally . I have been using another similiar Coolpix camera at work, and it seemed to work fine . Thought a cheaper, more compact camera like the Coolpix S9050, would be a better Travel camera . It probably would have, if actually worked the whole holiday . After about a week on Holiday, the Lens would come out and go back in, with a "Lens Error" message coming up on the Screen . The Battery was Fully Charged, and tried removing the Battery, hoping the Camera would Reset itself . No luck, the Camera still doesn't work . Hopefully, Nikon will repair the Camera under Warranty . The Camera has no Physical damage, so I don't know what happened ? I guess we should have brought our larger Canon, which has never let us down . Thankfully, we had our Smartphones with us, which stood in well, helping us capture some memories of our Trip . I know this is only a $130 Camera, but, I expected a lot more ! Most of the pictures taken with the Camera, turned out OK . But, some were Blurry & some Night Time shots at Restaurants were Overexposed by the Flash ? Hopefully, this isn't a common problem, with this Model ?

Will be returning!
I bought this camera on Black Friday. I have been taking pictures around the house and the quality of the pictures are very poor and blurry. Will be returning.

The picture quality was so terrible I had to return it! I tested with at least 50 photos - dogs and around the house. When the pictures of my dogs kept coming up blurry, I thought maybe they moved so I took pictures of still items around my house, they were blurry as well. This would have been my 4th or 5th Nikon over the past 15 or so years, but it had to be returned!
