Great Little Camera
This is a nice camera. It fits in my shirt pocket, I carry it horseback riding. It is light weigh. Very quick to start up and ready to take another picture. I charges quickly. My pictures come out quite well. Even when the horse won't stand still for me.

compact with a lot of zoom
i actually bought the camera right before my husband and i went to the toby keith concert. i forgot i needed to get a memory card so i was only able to take 11 pictures at the concert with the internal memory. we sat a little ways away from the stage but the zoom allowed me to get great pictures of toby keith and thomas rhett. this was the best investment we made.

If you know digital then you can get this picture ready immediately.
Opened the box, put the battery in the camera, attached the ac adapter to the USB port on the adapter and camera and plugged it in to charge. Two hours later, only because I got busy doing something else, I removed the camera turned it on and started shooting pictures. Nikon makes it really simple to take good pictures and I love the small palm size of the camera. The programming frames single or multiple subjects. Love that feature. The flash works with the light available so you do not get washout of the photo. And the zoom is awesome. It works just like the zoom lenses on the expensive digital cameras and brings things in real close and clear. Thank you Nikon. I was away from you to long, but I am back now for good.

Great Point and Shoot!
We wanted a great point and shoot digital camera that takes great pics and didn't require much camera knowledge on our part.
The two main things we wanted in a new digital camera was that it needed to take great pics in low level lighting and take clear action shots (i.e. sports).
We are very pleased with this camera and the cost.

I never changed mine, but with these newer Coolpix cameras I actually don't use autoflash that much. I set the ISO on 200 for outside and 400 for indoors. It seems to work out well.Jul 13, 2012 by

This answer was speedy but useless!Looking at tests posted on the web, the optimum ISO would appear to be 100 or 200.
I bought this camera to have in my pocket to take snapshots for the web. It is more than adequate for that purpose.
For serious photography I use Canon digitals and L series lenses.

Please reset the camera: MENU > SETUP > RESET ALL. Also, verify the settings that you have for Image Mode (seepage # 60 of the user's manual) and make sure you are using an approved memory card for the COOLPIX S3300 (see page # 19).

No the EN-EL19 & EH-69P are the correct battery and charger. You cannot use your old baterry and charger.

Cameras do not have dpi, they have pixels. Printers have dpi. The pixel count in a photo depends on it's size.
I really like the 720p quality for what I film. Only problem is its 8 minutes compared to 28 minutes on low quality. With a 32gb SDHC card I know I can film and refilm for many hours. I just want to know, is it possible to increase the HD time longer than 8 minutes and 11 seconds to about 30 minutes like the lowest setting?
