Great camera! I got the black S3300, love the looks, the size, the clarity of the LCD, the ease of use with simple to understand button layout, lightweight, and rugged. Perfect camera under $150. April 21, 2012
many features The camera works well under normal circumstances. It has problem focusing at the maximum zoom setting. Also even though it lists many scene modes I have to figure out to acess them. I went to the tutorial on the web site and it plays for a few seconds and shuts down.So I decided.to download the manual and halfway through the printing it stopped. Can I get aprinted instruction book? June 7, 2012
Camera is new but seems very easy to operate. Everything seems great about this camera except the View NX 2 software disk will not load on my or my husbands laptop computer although it loaded on my desktop just fine. All are 64 bit windows 7 computers. April 26, 2012
Disappointed. I just got this camera for my birthday and was very disappointed. I cannot get good close-up shots even with the macro setting in a variety of light levels. The image quality is poor and it is not very stable. I have always had Canon cameras and now I've learned my lesson - I'm returning it and getting a Canon. I love the style, weight, and awesome purple color, but if I can't get good pictures, the nice look is useless. June 30, 2012

Answer:
I never changed mine, but with these newer Coolpix cameras I actually don't use autoflash that much. I set the ISO on 200 for outside and 400 for indoors. It seems to work out well.

Answer:
This answer was speedy but useless!

Looking at tests posted on the web, the optimum ISO would appear to be 100 or 200.

I bought this camera to have in my pocket to take snapshots for the web. It is more than adequate for that purpose.

For serious photography I use Canon digitals and L series lenses.

3+ secs between each photo is too long

1. No red eye is set
2. No skin smoothing set
3. 1200 x 720 dpi set

Do have hundreds of photos stored on memory card

Answer:
Please reset the camera: MENU > SETUP > RESET ALL. Also, verify the settings that you have for Image Mode (seepage # 60 of the user's manual) and make sure you are using an approved memory card for the COOLPIX S3300 (see page # 19).

3+ seconds to store each image after photo taken

Have reset all to default setting but no improvement.

Is this delay normal?

I have over 500 photos stored on an 8GB Lexar card

Answer:
Cameras do not have dpi, they have pixels. Printers have dpi. The pixel count in a photo depends on it's size.

I really like the 720p quality for what I film. Only problem is its 8 minutes compared to 28 minutes on low quality. With a 32gb SDHC card I know I can film and refilm for many hours. I just want to know, is it possible to increase the HD time longer than 8 minutes and 11 seconds to about 30 minutes like the lowest setting?
