I don't know why "NikonStaff" claims there is an outer mesh pocket, when there is no pocket. There is the main, zippered compartment with one slim internal divider (which could fit an EN-EL12 battery or SD card). I will note that the battery is a bit thick and puts some pressure against the camera when zipped shut. On the outside is a mesh panel area with a bungee cord. This appears to be more show than go; it, along with the carabiner and rubber backing, give this case a rugged, outdoor, adventure look and feel. The biner is useful for clipping it to a backpack D-ring, pants belt-loop, etc., and the rubber backing offers grip and cushion. The bungee however might be capable of holding a USB cable, but nothing more... not securely at least.
