Funcionalidad al 100 Desde que compre mi nikon, nunca me ha fallado, su funcionalidad es excelente y permite tirar buenas fotos. June 29, 2012
First time DSLR owner and loving it. I've had my D5000 now for just over a year and a half and I've loved every second of it. It's never failed me and I have nothing but great things to say about this camera. The images that it takes can be crystal clear if proper techniques are applied. I currently have the 18-55 kit lens, the 55-300 Nikkor lens, and now the 35mm 1.8 Nikkor lens. I STRONGLY suggest the 35mm 1.8 or the 50mm 1.4 (or the 1.8) if you are looking to shoot indoors. To add to the indoor lighting issues that are sometimes found, I love the wide ISO range offered by this camera. It makes it VERY versatile. I've shot everything from portraits to long exposure (night) and outdoor sports. I can't wait to see what else I can do with this camera. May 22, 2012
Excellent! I got my Nikon D5000 for Christmas back in 2010 and it has not failed me, not even once. Simple and easy to use, I've constantly used it for the last year and a half, especially for my photography classes. It is actually much more simple to use than the provided Olympic cameras at my school. I definitely don't regret buying it! May 17, 2012
Love the unit works well for the uses. Auto not well after heave use in need of a back fast some noise at 800iso 200iso but photos are somewhat alright April 26, 2012
All in one! I've been a Nikon user ever since, starting with my D60 which really is fine and upgraded into D5000. This camera is really good. It shoots great photos. I captures good videos. It's just that, you need to treat this like your child. It's precious. April 20, 2012

Please verify that you are using an approved memory card and format it in the camera, since it could be that the memory cards are corrupted. Also download from our website the latest version of ViewNX 2 in order to transfer the pictures from your camera to your pc. See links below:

Answer:
use aperture up to 8/11, anything above that will not yield good results due to diffraction. and it's simple: the lower the focal length and the higher the aperture the more depth of field you have. at 18mm you'll get a very deep DOF even at 5.6.

As default settings, while recording the camera will record video and sound. Be careful not to cover the microphone on the front of the camera during recording. In order to change the settings to record with or without sound, please see page #51 of the user's manual for the D5000.

Answer:
SB 16 is just the flash body designation, there are two couplers AS8 and AS9, AS9 is for hotshoe mounts and the SB16 with that coupler is designated as a SB16B, this will work with a D3000. The AS8 coupler is for older F3 mounts. So it depends on which coupler you have.

Answer:
Is this with all lenses or just the lens that comes with the camera? If it is the lens you have with the camera you might have set it to manual. Look at the swich on the side of the lens which says 'M/A' or 'M' if it is switched to 'M' then have set the camera to manual focus. Another reason it could be is that the camera has no internal focus motor and you have an older lens which doesn't have a motor, like the 50mm 1.8D then the lens won't be able to autofocus.

Answer:
The D5000 has been replaced by the D5100 which is much better. As for accessories for the camera, it depends what kind of thing you want to do with it. It takes an SD card, I would suggest buying a class 10 card which will allow you to record HD video. You can buy lots of lenses for the camera, though it doesn't have an internal focus meter, so you will only be able to focus the lens manually. These are generally older lenses, there are lists about as to what lenses work on the camera. You can buy a flash, which is good for certain things and a tripod. though these 2 things are not essential.

Answer:
A lot is down the kind of money you want to spend. I suppose the traditional focal length for portrait lenses is around 70mm to 135mm. Though you can use a 50mm (all this is 35mm without x1.5 crop). So For a 50mm 1.8G or 1.4G (75mm crop) should work as a nice portrait lens. Unfortunately the Nikkor 85mm 1.8D (127.5mm crop) won't autofocus, when used on the D5000 (though it is a wonderful lens, when fixed to a DX camera). As for zoom lenses the 24-70mm 2.8mm is great (36mm-105mm crop).

Just want to make sure I know exactly what I'm buying, and what it is that it can or cannot do.
Thanks!
