Advanced HELP Menu System with Assist Images: The D60's Assist Images help you select the appropriate settings for many camera features by showing an example image typical of that setting, as well as an advanced HELP Menu for the current item selected. The D60's Question Mark icon (?) indicates that help is available for the currently selected item; just press the HELP button beside the LCD monitor to see a context-sensitive HELP page.

Settings include: Normal, Softer, Vivid, More Vivid, Portrait, Custom and Black and White, each of which are automatically adjusted based on sophisticated Nikon algorithms or user-selected settings for optimum results.

Fast, Accurate 3-Area Autofocus: The D60's advanced 3-Area AF system and the refined algorithms inherited from more advanced Nikon digital SLR cameras deliver fast, efficient and precise Autofocus. AF refinements deliver greater precision with fast, more consistent subject acquisition and improved focus tracking for consistently sharper pictures.

Auto rotating LCD display provides automatic horizontal and vertical graphic display orientation.

Nikon 3D Color Matrix Metering II: The D60's 3D Color Matrix Metering II evaluates each scene for brightness, color, contrast, size and position of shadows and highlights, selected focus area and camera-to-subject distance, comparing that information against an onboard database of more than 30,000 actual photographic scenes. The result delivers instantly and precisely determined exposures for each scene, even in challenging lighting conditions.

Built-in Speedlight with i-TTL Automatic Flash Control: Nikon's innovative i-TTL flash control evaluates flash exposure with incredible precision to achieve better automatic flash balance and deliver outstanding results. The built-in Speedlight is always ready to bring beautiful exposures to darkened conditions, as well as add sparkle for fill flash in outdoor situations for enhanced twilight shots or an added impact to daylight images. In low-light or back-light situations, added illumination from the built-in Speedlight can make the difference between an average snapshot and a dazzling picture.

So quick and easy to use My husband bought me my first SLR digital camera "Nikon D60" for Christmas 2008. I am a travel consultant and have traveled the world with this wonderful camera. It has never let me down. People are forever commenting on how nice my photo's are. I've just returned from doing a 23 day coach holiday throughout Britain and Ireland, most of my photo's were taken through the window of the coach traveling at high speeds. I am impressed by how clear the photos are and I just love how instant it is to turn on, aim and click and out comes this amazing photo. The battery life also amazing me. I have taken hundreds of photo's without needing to re-charge the battery, unlike my fellow travelers with cheap digital cameras. The only downfall I have found with the camera is that it only has 3 focal points. I love macro photography and after owning 3 other digital cameras previous to owning the D60, the D60 is far more superior in quality and sharpness. I just love my D60 it's been such a great camera to use and I highly recommend it, even though you cannot buy them in shops now as new models have now been released. I am contemplating on upgrading mine at some stage and I will definitely be buying another Nikon. September 24, 2012
Terrific starter DSLR With one exception, slow fps rate, it has always delivered. I recently took it out on a snowy night with the temperature around 12 degrees, and no problem with the electronics. Been using it for 10 years...no regrets. May 2, 2014
Great Travel Camera I got my D60 May 2007, Until now it is still working and didn't let me down. I've been to many countries with this camera. And saw action in Events and Photo shoots. I really love my D60. November 26, 2013
Outstanding camera Outstanding SLR camera! This little camera has been with me all over North America, and has performed beautifully. VR technology is incredible, and most of my images (birds) can be enlarged enough that a big telephoto lens is not necessary. I am just now exploring B&W possibilities. Controls are intuitive, and anything that is not labelled clearly can be accessed through a very easy to access and understand set of menus. I had to consult the manual once (remote release) since I have had the camera. April 18, 2013
Great camera I've had it since 2009 and it delivers fantastic photos. Definitely recommend it. July 6, 2012

Answer:
In the menu there should be an option called "Image quality" Try changing the resolution to "Fine" (JPEG or RAW) and then unter "Image Size", change the size to large. This might help.

Answer:
Hi
To submit a photo to this section of the site, you can add a photo when you filed this question.
If you have contacted "Service and Support" in the above main menu bar, as a request from Service Department to upload a sample photo of your problem, they have a section to upload photos or ask them again how to submit a sample photo.
If you write a review on a peice of Nikon equipment, there is a section to upload a photo.
Nikon also has a world photo contest for years running, can be found in "About Nikon" section of above main menu bar.
Nikon also has a Flickr account.
These are all I know of ...hope this helps...

Answer:
Get to know what you have first before thinking of buying new lenses. Its all to easy to get caught up in buying lenses and kit you dont need because some one on a forum somewhere, learn to use what you have and in time you will know what lenses you want, dont buy for the sake of buying.
