Awesome Product I LOVE the camera!!!!!!!!!!! the only down about it is that when i downloaded the pictures onto my computer the color was too dull it looked fine on the camera but not on the computer. It might have just been my computer though July 18, 2013
Absolutly stunning!!! I love this little camera! For the price it is a wonderful camera. The pics are very sharp and the zoom is my favorite feature. Great it feels very sturdy and have had no problems. March 9, 2013
Great camera for profetionals and amatures alike I have been doing profetional makeup and art photos for the last 10 years. the degree of detail in the macro setting and the filters are great for my art shots. the flash being manual is great because with the light sensor and auto correction for night shots it almost doesnt need the flash ever. I would recomend this camera to anyone who is looking to upgrade their photo prowess without spending alot. I also would recomend playing with the settings and the options for each setting in the menu page. the lens opens and closes smoothly and the multi focus option makes sure that every shot is perfectly focused versus the single focus option. GREAT CAMERA January 2, 2013
Great Things small packages Fair Size But Yet Stunning Quality I Love this product its is amazing for its model Coolpixs9050 im very impressed my First Camera i think i will stay with nikon :) January 1, 2013
Excellent Photos (Cool Zoom) and Crisp, Full HD Video Quality. Excellent zoom. Amazing HD video recording. The picture and zoom is crisp and crystal clear and makes for some interesting videos if you know what you're doing. There's a variety of very cool filters that you can also play with. The interface is user friendly. Very cool camera. I just got one for Christmas. Some of these complaints and bad reviews that I've been reading about the camera lead me to believe that those people have defective cameras and should exchange it for another one. Mine operates works smoothly and the quality of the photos and the video is excellent. December 25, 2012

Auto ISO limited to 400

I have read the manual start to finish. With ISO set to 'auto' the camera will not increase the ISO above 400 to reduce shutter speed, resulting in blurry pics that would have been fine with a bump to 800 or 1600. I understand that the limited ISO setting caps it at 400, but why is the auto setting doing the same. Is mine defective? As this would be a software issue I wouldn't think a new camera would resolve this. I didn't see a firmware upgrade, any help?

Answer:
That is exactly what it's doing. No matter how little light there is it will not increase the ISO above 400 in auto. There is basically no difference between the auto ISO and limited ISO settings. I guess I will contact support and see if they have an answer. Thank you for your reply.

Answer:
When the S9050 ISO is set to Auto, you are restricted to a maximum of ISO 800. You will have to manually select an ISO above 800. Cameras set to auto ISO tend not to use the highest ISO available unless the light were really low. Because of image noise, the camera may not always increase the ISO as high as you want. This is when you will have to manual select an ISO. There are no firmwares available for the S9050. If you take a picture in the dark and press the OK button while in playback mode to see the shooting information, and the camera does not display an ISO higher than 400 even though it was set to auto ISO, then I would suggest you contact tech Support.

Answer:
The COOLPIX S9050 has a Top Continuous Shooting Speed at full resolution of up to 5 shots at approx. 9.5 frames per second. To shoot continuously on the COOLPIX S9050 you can either shoot in the Sports Scene Mode or the Continuous Mode.

To shoot in the Sports Scene Mode rotate the camera's mode dial to Scene, then select the Sports Scene mode from the Scene Menu. Press the shutter release button halfway to lock focus and exposure on your subject, then press all the way to begin shooting. Images are captured while the shutter release button remains pressed. For detailed information on the Sports Scene Mode see page 68 of the S9050 manual.

To shoot in the Continuous Mode rotate the camera's mode dial to the continuous shooting icon which looks like a series of stacked rectangles. Press the shutter release button halfway to lock focus and exposure on your subject, then press all the way to begin shooting. If you are shooting in Continuous H, Continuous L, Pre-shooting cache or BSS then images will be captured while the button is pressed. If you are shooting in Continuous H:120fps, Continuous H:60fps or Multi-shot 16 then the number of images taken are determined by the setting and there is no need to continue to hold the shutter release button down. More detailed information on the Continuous Mode starts on page 80 of the S9050 manual.

Answer:
We do not make a wireless or wired remote for shooting using the S9050. However, The remote control of an HDMI-CEC-compatible TV can be used to control the playback.
It can be used instead of the camera's rotary multi selector and zoom control to select images, start
and pause movie playback, scroll playback of images captured using easy panorama, and switch
between full-screen playback mode and 4-image thumbnail display.

When taking the photos, some photos are recorded as rotated in 90 degrees. I need to rotate them in 90 degrees again. This problem is nonsense. I don't want to change my machine because of this problem. In fact this is not exactly a problem but annoying. By the way, don't think that these photos as rotated in 90 degrees are not taken when the machine rotated in 90 degrees. Except this, I like this machine.

Answer:
Depending upon the direction in which faces are looking, or the brightness of faces, the camera may
be unable to accurately recognize faces, or the skin softening function may not perform as expected.
