COOLPIX S100 2.1 5 9 9
Linda e estilosa A S100 é uma câmera linda, moderna e super fina. Cabe perfeitamente no bolso ou na bolsa. March 16, 2012
This is a fun camera! It is so thin, I carry this camera in a generic case in the front pocket of my pants everyday with no problems. The OLED display screen is beautiful and exceptionally clear. The only "con" is that the cropping feature is not as versatile as other Nikon cameras. I bought the red one! January 12, 2012
ok camera An ok camera overall. Gets a lot of dings and scratches if droped alot. Sliding piece on front leaves scratches on front of camera. Picture quality is a little too good if shooting people. HD is unflattering to all complections. Makes any blemish or pore ulta visible! If shooting nature or animals or something with a lot of detail other than people it'd be a great camera. Touch screen is pretty decent. At times can be a litte tempremental. Wish you could take pictures in sepia or black and white instead of having to go back after a picture is taken and change it. This camera is horrible. I bought it last christmas in december 2011 and I have already had to send it back three times. I take very good care of my camera, so this is a clear disappointment. I never write reviews, but I just had to on this because it is so bad. The sliding cover scratches the camera and it is not always good in low light. Cannot turn flash always on either. I would not recommend this product to anyone. September 3, 2012
My Big Disappointment I thought I would try a Nikon..Bad idea. I believe this is the worst camera I have purchased in the last 40 years. I have discarded as many pictures as I have saved. Very poor pictures. Pictures I have taken blur; fill flash is too bright and washes out the pictures; regular flash doesn't lighten the picture enough. This camera dosen't have the capabillites of the competitors brand which I paid an equivalent price. I don't think I would spend my money on a Nikon again. September 19, 2012

Answer:
If you like to take pictures of your family and friends don't buy this camera. It will take you about 5 trys to finally capture a picture that isn't blurry! On top of that the quality isn't that great. The flash makes the picture almost white. It's just an overall bad camera. Try a better Nikon anything but the s100

Answer:
I have had my S100 for two weeks and am happy with its performance with one exception - flash. I get spots in the image when using a flash. They are in different locations when shooting the same scene from the same point of view and I have cleaned the lens so it is not that. They are large out of focus white rings all over the image to the point that flash photography is useless. Unless you never need to use a flash, I cannot recommend the camera.

Answer:
Hi Anon,

One of the great features of the Nikon Coolpix series of cameras is the ability to pre-focus on the subject and give an audible confirmation that the subject is in focus, metered, and the camera is ready to activate the shutter immediately when you fully depress the shutter button. Shutter-lag is really a problem in the past and not much of a concern in the latest Coolpix models. Many of the models even offer face-detection technology to ensure that your subject's smiling face is the area of focus, further increasing the number of "keeper" shots from your camera.

Answer:
No, the COOLPIX S100 is not water resistant. You may want to check the new COOLPIX AW100 that is waterproof.

Answer:
SD, or "Secure Digital" memory cards, have a small plastic slider switch on the left side edge of the card which is used to "write protect", or prevent the writing or erasing of files contained on the card. In the 'up' position the card is unlocked and writeable and may be erased. In the 'down' position the memory card is 'locked' and cannot be written to or erased. If the switch is locked, the camera will display a message such as "Memory card is write protected". Turn off the camera, remove the memory card, and slide the switch to the up position to unlock.
