VERY CLOSE TO MY DREAM CAMERA It's not my dream camera yet, but it is fantastic! June 30, 2014
good features good camera but a little slow when it comes to focusing specially at maximum zoom, it's focus is in and out, wish it had the rechargeable battery like the other point and shot nikon. March 11, 2013
Really great camera. I love everything about this camera except the shutter speed. It's simply takes too long to focus, making action shots nearly impossible. This said, it's great for everything else. And that zoom. Dang I love that zoom. November 22, 2012
Not a Bad First Camera The L810 is very simple to use, comfortable to hold (tripod capable too), has a great optical zoom and quite a few helpful auto settings. The only great drawback is that it's too simple. To make this camera great it needs a few changes, such as the ability to shoot in a non-compressed image format. Even the highest quality image is still a partially compressed JPEG format. No RAW format is available. For simplicity the design uses 4 AA batteries, so I bought 2 sets of Sanyo Eneloop Ni-MH ( 1.2V 1900mAH). The camera uses Secure Digital memory cards, it is slightly awkward to access the card as you have to unlock the battery/memory card compartment to access. The photos I've taken with this camera however are quite spectacular in my opinion for a first camera. I've read a lot of books since buying this camera and I've learned a lot, and while not perfect, this camera does a good job for someone looking for either high quality pictures of everyday scenes yet it can reach a bit further and do some nicer photos too. Conclusion: It's a great starter camera. A firmware update to add RAW format capability and the ability to adjust a few other features on the camera and you'd have an absolute leader in the price segment. November 18, 2012
Love this Camera Love it so much I bought 3! Well sort of. lol First one was just amazing then I dropped it... reminder to other ... cement does not go well with this camera... lol Camera two had a glitch after the first night of using. It happened after I changed the batteries. But the following Monday called up Target and they gave me an even exchange for another one and it again has been just amazing. for only $200. WOW Hope everyone has as good of experience with the it as I have Josh November 17, 2012
Great features in a small package! My the best comment is... attached photo...:) Autumn... Petrovaradin fortress next to Novi Sad... November 14, 2012
Good quaility So I bought this camera about a year ago to replace my last model that I ruined. I like it very much. It's not quite the same as my last model, but it works. The zoom is amazing! I like the macro setting. I wish it had the high sensitivity setting my last one had, but the sports setting works for my needs. One of my only complaints is that the camera stops functioning when cold. My last camera did this as well. When it gets cold, it turns on then back off. My lens is currently stuck in the on position. It's not on, but I can't put the lens cap back on. So overall this is a good camera as long as you keep it out of the cold. November 4, 2012
Overall good camera. I love the results I get from this camera, I just don’t have it all figured out yet, the ISO I haven’t found the settings to change it yet. There isn’t a viewfinder on the camera which gets annoying when trying to take a very great picture. The picture on the screen is very blurry and not clear. I love the scene’s on it. Good beginner camera. It’s a baby DSLR. If you’re look for a camera for family events and vacations, this is good. If you’re searching to be a photographer professionally I recommend the Nikon D3100. October 27, 2012
Great Camera ! I got this camera because I wasn't quite ready for a DSLR and just wanted something small but good. This camera has never really disappointed me. September 25, 2012
Great Point and Shoot Camera!! I love this camera. I really do, but the only thing I wish that was on this camera was a actual viewfinder and had a faster shutter... I may be able to fix that somehow though. I have not had the time to go though all the settings to check. Otherwise this is a great camera!! August 6, 2012
Great product for the price Great camera for the price. It was given to me for me birthday, and have not put it down. great features takes great pics. one setback is the time it takes to focus properly at full zoom, but beside that its great. used all the modes and filters and camera peforms like a pro. July 24, 2012
i love it (: i think this camera is great for the price. it takes nice pictures, and i have had no problems with it yet. the only thing i dont like is the fact that it uses batteries. so its not rechargeable July 21, 2012
4.3 camera the only reason i bought this camera cus i was going on a trip & i need a good fast camera , i went to best buy and this was the one i bought. it has 26x zoom so thats great. its uses 4aa batterys which im not really fan of since i always used those other battery in digtal cameras. i only use this in special occ like wedding/trips. on daily basic i would use my normal digtal camera or just use my iphone. i think its does great job/fast zoom + hd video. i love it. July 19, 2012
Good for beginners. This camera is great for beginner photographers. I started getting into photography a little while ago, but I was stuck with my little iPhone. Although it took great pictures, I wanted something more challenging, so I chose this camera. The only drawback is that you can't change some settings, like shutter speed and aperture, which I wasn't aware of until I bought the camera. But I'm loving it so far! The macro setting is AMAZING. June 25, 2012
Sweet Camera I want to be a professional photgragpher one day and this camera is an awesome start! its great price with really great quality pictures and OMW i love the zoom. the only things i didnt like was that it doesnt hav a viewfinder, flash during video and aperute priorirty settings but other than that i LOVE it. June 1, 2012
Quality budget model from nikon I have certain doubts in using the video recording. How can i take video during night since there is no option to light flash while recording movie? Also there is no option to pause while recording. Kindly help me out to resolve these issues. May 10, 2012

Answer:
sorry, no. in fact, most cameras are not, and those that are are specifically marketed as being "waterproof". i refer you to, for example, the Nikon AW100:

http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Compact-Digital-Cameras/26293/COOLPIX-AW100.html

that one IS waterproof. no question about it.

Press the (flash pop-up) button to raise the flash.
• Using the Flash (Flash Modes) ➝ A51
• Push the flash down gently to lower the flash until it clicks into place when not in use.

Although you can set 5 different settings for monitor brightness generally you don't want to go around messing around with your monitor brightness to much. So in reality generally I would answer yes.

Answer:
No. Nikon does not offer an adapter for this camera. Remember, it already has a 26x zoom lens. Third party vendors offer a tube adapter with a 62mm filter thread, but that appears to be more for filters and shades.
