COOLPIX L810 4.1 5 130 130
Great camera for a little price I am a "wanna be" photographer. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a camera but wanted one that had a lot of features and was easy to use. This camera was all that and more. The pictures I took, for the most part, came out great, clear, and in vibrant color. And the panoramic feature is so easy to use. My niece has a $1000.00 camera and said she loved the pictures my camera took. I love them, too. And I love this camera. October 16, 2013
Great camera I bought this camera with some gift cards and I love it! I recently had a baby and this is the perfect camera to capture special moments. I've had many compliments on every photo I've taken. July 25, 2013
Great camera for trips I purchased this camera about a year ago and have taken it on all of our trips. Doing that I am leaving my Nikon D80 and D3 at home. The pictures from the L810 are as good as - if no better - than those other two cameras. I can take pictures much quicker with the Coolpix, and there are times when that is very important. June 2, 2013
Nikon Coolpix-L810 I received my camera this past Christmas. I have always been an avid photo hobbyist. I have uploaded my pictures to my facebook page called What I See in Nature. Here you can see how great this camera does! April 21, 2013
Too good to be true! I recieved this camera from my parents for Christmas. I love it so much!! I really want to become a photographer & this is the perfect camera. I have taken some beautiful photos. I'm really impressed, although I wouldn't expect anything less than amazing from Nikon. March 16, 2013

Answer:
The L810 has a top continuous shooting speed at full resolution of up to 4 shots at approximately 1.2 frames per second and its fastest shutter speed is 1/1500 of a second. This speed combined with the L810's 26X zoom make it a great choice for capturing sporting events. If you are looking for something even faster, the S9200 and S9300 are the fastest COOLPIX models at up to 7 shots at approximately 6.9 frames per second with an 18X zoom and 16 megapixels.

Answer:
To shoot continuously you press and hold the shutter release button for as long as you want to capture images. The L810 can capture up to about 4 images continuosly at a rate of about 1.2 frames per second when the image mode is set to 16mp. The camera will continue to capture images for as long as the shutter release button as held down but the frame rate will slow as the camera works to save images to your memory card. There is no limit published in the specs for the L810 regarding a point at which the camera may stop since this will be affected by many factors including the current image mode setting, the memory card used and the shooting conditions.

Answer:
The L810 does not have a wireless commander, and Nikon does not make an external flash unit for the L810. However, when a Nikon speedlight such as the SB-800,SB-700, SB-800, SB-900, or SB-910 is in SU-4 mode, the speedlight will automatically fire when the built in flash on the L810 or other Nikon cameras goes off.

Were you trying to take photos with low levels of light? Zooming will increase the blurriness in most cases. Try using a tripod and/or the flash.

My camera seems to take very blurry shots and if there is any motion from the subject (I.e. you move your head, or a dog's tail wags" that image is completely blurry. So far, the only way I can seem to get clear shots is by always using the flash. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Answer:
To reduce motion blur without engaging the flash you will need to shoot at a faster shutter speed. The L810 does not allow you to select a specific shutter speed but there are ways that you can influence the camera to choose a fast shutter speed. The easiest way to do this is to shoot in the Sports Scene Mode since that mode is created to freeze motion in active situations.

Another way to force the camera to choose a faster shutter speed is to increase your camera's sensitivity to light (ISO). Changing your shooting mode to Auto (not Easy Auto) will give you the ability to select your ISO sensitivity in the L810's shooting menu. Selecting a higher ISO setting will allow the camera to use faster shutter speeds thus reducing the likelihood of motion blur.

For informatives article on ISO and its effect on shutter speed and exposure see these pages on Nikonusa.com:
http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Learn-An...
http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Learn-An...

See page 49 of the L810 manual for information on changing your camera's ISO sensitivity settings. A copy of the L810 manual can be downloaded from this address:

A Flash Card is not included in the standard purchase, and is not listed under Accessories. I recently had to have some warranty work done and one of the questions asked by the technician was about the Flash Card. When I sent the unit in, they noted the absence of a Flash Card.

Answer:
Just terminology I think, flash card is the same as an SD card, people just call them differentthings things, you don't usually send them in as they have a tendency to go missing.
