Awesome Camera
I lost my S220 at the zoo and replaced it with the S6000, which personally, I didn't feel was a good fit for what I wanted.
Then I saw the S6200 and it was love at first sight...for me. It takes great pictures with fantastic clarity.
Being a casual photographer Nikon's point and shoot series has, more often than not, helped provide me with not only a wide selection of choices to compare with but also a great price for the quality camera I need.

¡ESTUPENDA!
para lo que esta camara hace es super compacta , los 16mp te permiten tomar las mismas fotos que una camara profesional de mayor costo. Muy recomendable

Need Owner's manual
I wish you could get a printed copy of the owner's maual. It is a real pain having to run to your computer, load the CD, try to find the info you need and then go back and take the picture.
If you print the manual out you have 8 X 11 sheets of paper, where do you store them: not to mention the expense of paper and ink. Not smart Nikon. Camera is not as user friendly as I had hoped.

awesome camera in small body!
Pros:

Cons:
low whirring sound
not the best in low light
must have still subject
auto focus isn't great

does not interface with my mac or pc
good camera so far that is easy to use and takes great pic's.
If I had know that how difficult it was to get my computer to read the camera I would have bought something else.

worst camera ever
I received this camera as a gift and am sorry I ever opened the box. Auto focus should focus automatically this dose not, out of 20 pictures I took with this camera 3 were recognizable but not very clear the rest were nothing but blurs. You have to go to the menu and pick just what someone is doing (i.e. moving, partying,at the beach, in the snow, sports) you cannot just auto focus and take a picture. I also cannot get the pictures download from the camera to the computer I have to take out the SD card and put it into my printer to retrieve them. I think the camera shop that talked my husband into this thing was just trying to unload it. I will tell anyone who asked to stay away from this one.

This is not the camera for me, I am soooo disappointed!
I have had a Canon and was told this was equivalent or better. The picture recover is very slow so you miss shots and the camera never stated when the card was full and I missed a lot of special moments because of this. The battery charger that comes with it is a pain. You have to hook it up through the actual camera. You can't just take the battery out and plug into an outlet.
The photos were good but I didn't like the stabilization. My old Canon is a better camera.

I haven't found a selection where you can take fisheye photos, but you can change your photos to a fisheye effect. After taking your pic, go to playback and select menu. Under the menu options go to filter effects - there are a few options in addition to fisheye, like color select and painting, soft, etc. Play around with some of them. It's fun. Good luck hope you enjoy your camera.Dec 26, 2011 by

Answer:
Disconnect the USB cable or unplug the Charging AC adapter and correctly connect it again, or try a back up battery. Also, connect the USB to another computer in order to charge the battery. If the problem persists you will need to send the camera and the charger to be evaluated.Title: How do I get my Nikon product serviced?

Where can I get a printed manual (that will fit in my camera bag)?
No printed manual came with this camera. I realize that I can print off a copy from the software included, but I would rather not cart around an 8 x 11 unbound manual. My prior Coolpix camera included a nice little manual that I could put into my camera bag and carry with me on my trips. Why doesn't this newer version include a usable manual????

by Liam McCabeNovember 2011
Digitalcamerainfo's Liam McCabe posted his review of the Nikon COOLPIX S6200, noting the camera's 10x zoom range: "The S6200 is the best point and shoot we've seen with such a far-reaching lens." He noted that the camera is ideal for the vacationer looking for an affordable digital camera that has a wide zoom range. McCabe found the color of images to be vibrant and pleasing to the eye. Other notable features included resolution, noise reduction and flexibility in playback.
