if you get it on sale = great value we previously owned two canons and were set on getting a third but the $125 sale price was too low to pass up. it has a lot of options that aren't terribly hard to find in the camera's OS once you get used to it. the pics are great looking, it doesn't weigh much, and the battery life is good. we bought a red one (only color in stock) and almost a year later none of the red has rubbed off. pretty well made little camera! Excellent Investment My first Nikon camera and I absolutely love it! It is well worth the investment for those priceless photos. I have had it for several months now and am highly impressed with the quality of the pictures and ease of use. I received excellent feedback when I sent my first set of pictures via email such as what kind of camera do I have and highly impressed with the beauty of the pictures. I took photographs of new plants and every detail was caputred of its unique beauty as if the viewers were seeing it person. I'm still learning more features about this camera and the more I learn the higher my impression. I highly recommend this camera. September 5, 2012
A Lot Of Camera In A Small Package The blue Coolpix.S6200 that I purchased for my birthday has been a real pleasure. I am used to a Nikon SLR film camera with a long telephoto-macro lense, but this little camera has really surprised me with its sensitivity and versatility. I use it for natural light and close-up shots and in a croud, I can elevate it to take almost any kind of subjects. Thank you, NIKON August 24, 2012
VERY NICE SIZED CAMERA, LOTS OF FEATURES I REALLY LOVE MY NEW CAMERA, IT TAKES BEAUTIFUL PICS AND I LOVE ALL OF THE FEATURES AND THE EASE OF USING IT, TOTALLY THE BEST CAMERA I HAVE EVER HAD August 19, 2012
I love this camera I bought this camera from Best Buys and I got it on sale for 129.99 it was a really great buy I really like the camera it takes very nice pics this in my first Nikon and I think it is a really nice camera and it was really nice for the price. It dose all that I expected and much more I use it for my work and I needed a camera that takes nice pics and can have the date and time both stamped on the pic And this dose it all.and it very compact to carry in your pocket. You can charge the battery inside the camera using the EH-69P AC Adapter or your computer. Also, you can use the MH-65 charger, but you will have to buy that separately.

I have had my camera about a month and it has worked wonderfully. I got my camera out of my bag the other day and it had a black and white screen. Very distorted, black and white lines. The menu will not appear, nothing. It WILL still flash and take a picture, but then nothing. I have turned it off and back on and removed the battery. The camera was not dropped, has no scrathes or crackes and was not exposed to the elements. Suggestions??

With every release of new product we work to enhance the start up time so the cameras will be faster - not only to start up - but in shot to shot times as well. The camera doesn’t have the type of digital video output to be use as a “WebCam."

Answer:
All Nikon Coolpix cameras have an auto switching (from 100v to 240V 50hz/60hz) battery charger that will work in most countries around the world. AC adapters have similar characteristics. Always check the specification plate on your other battery chargers or AC adapters as third party products may not support dual voltage systems. We do not suggest the use of third party battery chargers and AC adapters with Nikon equipment.
Note that the power cord included with some Nikon chargers or AC adapter is designed for 110 volt use only. A power cord suitable for the local power system should be obtained on arrival, most airport shops and computer suppliers will carry these items which are typically used for laptop computer power supply connections. Be sure that the new cord you buy fits the Nikon adapter you wish to use it with and that it is rated for the voltage in your new location. While not recommended, a simple plug adapter may be used, but caution should be taken as the cord Nikon supplies is not rated for the higher voltage and may heat or fail.
Some newer Coolpix have included an AC Adapter, like the EH-68P AC adapter, for plugging directly into a wall outlet without the use of a power cord. As with previous chargers, the correct adapter must be acquired for the country traveled to, and fitted to the Nikon AC adapter to allow proper AC connection to the wall outlet.

Answer:
You may want to try shooting in a Scene mode or using the Scene Auto Selector. In these modes the camera automatically selects the best settings, including focus options, for your scene choice. For more information on these modes see page 39 of the S6200 manual. Another option would be for you to use the Best Shot Selector. When in this mode, the camera takes up to 10 pictures while the shutter release button is held down. The sharpest of these pictures is then selected and saved by the camera. See page 32 of the Reference section of the manual for details on Best Shot Selector.

When shooting in Auto Mode check your ISO sensitivity to see if it is set to a low number. A low ISO number may result in slower shutter speeds and larger apertures. Longer shutter speeds can result in blurry images and larger apertures result in less depth of focus (depth of field). For more information on ISO sensitivity see page 33 of the Reference section of the S6200 manual. You may also want to check out the Learn & Explore section of Nikonusa.com for articles on ISO, exposure and aperture. Other settings that you may want to adjust are:
Vibration Reduction - manual reference section page 61
Motion Detection - manual reference section page 62
AF Assist setting - manual reference section page 63

The red flashing clock indicates that the time and date on the camera are not set. To set the time and date go into the Setup Menu (indicated by a Wrench icon) and select "Time zone and date". For detailed instructions on setting the time and date see page 55 of the reference section of the S6200 manual. A copy of the S6200 manual can be downloaded from here:

Zoom button sticks open. When you zoom in or out it continues all the way in or out and sticks in that spot.
You have to push the button the other way to get it to move.
