When I initially got my Coolpix S6100 it charged fine with the AC adapter. Now it will not connect to my computer or charge either using the AC adapter or the USB cable. It has never connected properly to the computer. The computer does not even recognize that is connected. I have tried to connect to a Windows XP and Windows 7 computer.

Pics on the Nikon do not autorotate (for those taken in portrait) when imported, nor delete when finished when instructed to (hangs on 1 of ...). Any fix or suggestions?

Btw, my Canons do both without issue.

If I buy this product will it come with a case ? What kind of case will it come with ?

My girlfriend's Nikon COOLPIX S6100 won't mount to my MacBook Pro. It currently has the latest software and the camera is brand new. I have connected the COOLPIX S6100 to the USB cable provided, and then connected the aforementioned USB cable to my laptop. Usually whenever I connect a camera to my Mac it initiates the plug-n-play software and automatically mounts to the computer, however when I connect this camera to the computer it will not mount. I've read the manual and came up with nothing, therefore I decided to install the provided software onto my computer. I connected the camera to my computer again and it opened the "Nikon Transfer 2" program without recognizing the camera. There seems to be a very big problem with the camera's software to the point that it won't automatically recognize a computer has connected to it and therefore won't send out the signal to properly connect.

I have looked at several dealers and on your own site and it is unavailable for purchase right now. Will it be available soon or is it discontinued?

can s6100 take long exposures?

i left it in my car for nearly a week in cold temperatures now it wont turn on i tried charging it and it doesnt work i got told i maybe need a new battery but i just got the camara a month ago

What makes it special?

Going on vacation; would be helpful to know how much room I've got.
