Wow... is all I can say!
I just upgraded from another pocket sized camera and this Nikon Coolpix is so amazing! Love the touch screen, the upclose pics I've taken are completely in focus, the recovery time between pics is WAY FAST, the cool purple color is my favorite, and I can't wait to go shoot some HD video!
Totally the gold standard of pocket-sized cameras!

Good Choice for a Camera
Takes very clear detailed photos. I enjoy the touchscreen features as well. Camera in purple is very pretty and elegant for a lady. The product is very light and easy to carry. Doesn't freeze up. The time delay for pictures is really fast and accurate. I absolutely love this camera and would recommend it to anyone. Also has the video camera feature, which is awesome. It is a great camera to have handy especially when you want to take good pictures of your children and pets. A++ Review from me!

What do I do when my camera isn't working because it says "battery temperature high"?
the battery itself doesn't feel hot and I even put it in the freezer for 30 seconds to make sure it was cool enough and it still won't let me do anything with the camera because it says its too hot still!

You may have a defective battery. Is it an OEM Nikon battery or a third party replacement battery? Also, how old is the battery? Batteries do die, not only one-time use batteries but also rechargeable batteries. If you're camera/battery is still under warranty, it might behoove you to have everything checked out. You may also want to check if there is a newer firmware update for your camera, if so, you should install it as this may also be a fix. Otherwise, try a new OEM Nikon battery and see if that doesn't fix your problem.

Most cameras I have used, have an option to format the SD Card. Is this not possible? I am having difficulty navigating around with the touch screen.

Por que aparece una línea azul (punteada), que no desaparece en la parte superior de la pantalla?
Coincide con la línea superior que se forma cuando uno toma videos.

Try it with a backup battery. Please verify that that you have the correct option selected for the Charge by computer, MENU > SETUP MENU > Charge by Computer. If the problem persists you will need to send the camera and the charger to be evaluated.Title: How do I get my Nikon product serviced?

I have a red Coolpix S4100 that is not even a year old, will not charge at all.
I read the forum and tried what others were saying about taking out the memory card to get the camera to charge but it still will not do anything!? I bought the camera July 23, 2011, and have not used it all that much. Just yesterday I decided to try and charge it up but when I plug it into the wall or the computer, nothing!! I have owned Nikon before and never had a problem so this is very annoying. Should've bought Sony! Any help would be awesome.

My camera usually lights up when plugged in to my computer and I remember setting it to charge when plugged in, but it doesn't seem to want to charge. I can't check the settings, because there's not enough battery for my camera to turn on. Even when I use the wall charger, the camera won't light up being charged and won't turn on after being left plugged in for a while.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S4100. What mode/settings are best for an orchestral concert? Many of my photos turn out a little blurry and saturated with warm color. This time, I'll be sitting near the front and near better lighting. As always, no flash allowed.

I would suggest purchasing a monopod for stability in low light.
The camera has not been used for about a month. It was in a protected case and in a dry area. I tried everything from the forum including removing the memory card, plugging it into the computer, plugging it into the charger in various order, pressing the on button. Nothing works.

Answer:
If the light is flickering (very fast) it may be that the ambient temperature is not suited for charging or the USB cable or Charging AC adapter is not properly connected, or there is a problem with the battery. Disconnect the USB cable or unplug the Charging AC adapter and correctly connect it again, or try a back up battery. Or connect the USB to a computer in order to charge the battery.
