Love it!
I'm a photographer and own a range of cameras; however, this one is the best for the money. The only thing I would change is there is no 'rapid shoot' option. It takes amazing photos and is very easy to use. Below is a photo I took with the camera, from probably 20+ feet away. Those who say it doesn't focus well apparently are doing something very wrong!

Easy to use and just perfect!
I use my Nikon L120 mostly for filming videos, usually when I play guitar. I must say it makes a really good sound and picture. It really makes good pictures, I really like to take pictures of my dog and flowers with bees. It's easy to use and it makes stunning photos. :)

AWESOME CAMERA. The bast camera ever I recommend it to everybody over the age of 10. Great quality pics, High ISO, HD movie. A lot in one small camera

"OUTSTANDING" in every way !!!
The Nikon L120 is easy to use, fun to use and the picture quality is awesome. I have digital cameras of different brands that cost twice as much as this Nikon L120 and they are no match in picture quality. The macro is fantastic. This camera takes the common double A battery that can be found anywhere and they seem to last almost forever...over 900 shots with rechargable Ni-MH batteries. For all it's great features, and it's fantastic picture quality, no other brand can match it in it's price range. The Nikon L120 is my favorite digital camera of all time.

Answer:
It does not offer interchangeable lenses. It comes with one permanently mounted lens, but then it doesn't need any lens since it has a 21x optical zoom, which is a 25-525mm range equivalent.

The "white balance" can be adjusted to compensate for different types of lighting. Page 55 of the Owners Manual (click on the Support tab and download the manual if you do not have it available) discusses the options and how to select the most appropriate setting for the color balance based on the type of light illuminating the subject. The "white balance" setting may be accessed using the menu function of the camera. Refer to the Owners Manual for more detail.Jun 1, 2012 by

Answer:
Go into the shooting menu and select white balance, change from auto to flourescent (tube shaped icon). It is natural to get a yellow tint due the "color" of light flourescent produces. Don't forget to switch back the setting after you are finished shooting under the lights.Has staff answer

I have recently purchased the Nikon L120 and I am very new to digital photography also: I want to ask a few questions:
(1) Which Scene Mode should I use to take picture of a starry sky?
(2) Why the camera is not focussing at the night sky in Fireworks Show mode?
(3) Is there any setting to increase the shutter speed from 4 seconds to higher, e.g. 10s, 15s etc.?
(4) In your Website, the Specification of L120 Self Timer shows "Can be selected from 10 and 2 seconds duration" but neither in the camera nor in the operating manual I could find a 2-Second timer. Can you please tell me how to set a 2-Second self-Timer?
(5) I am inserting a shot of moon taken by my L120, can you please guide me how to clean the grainy spots from the black areas?
Thank you

you have to keep a steady hand while it's taking the picture -- mind you, it might be a good one or two seconds from the moment when you press the shutter button. or: use a flash or use shorter shutter times, or use a shorter focal length.
I have a Mac OSX (version 10.6.7). I bought my Nixon L120 last week and today i installed the ViewNX 2 to upload my first pictures. I have tried with both that program and Iphoto but after i try to import pictures i get an error message saying "unsupported file type". is there any way i can fix this? or is there any way to know why this is happening? I'm frustrated this camera is so difficult to use with my Mac.

Nikon COOLPIX L120 Review
by Mike FlacyAugust 2011
Mike Flacy posted his review of the Nikon COOLPIX L120 on the Steve’s Digicams’ website, noting its versatility, large zoom range and rich feature set. Flacy said the L120 offers “a plethora of selectable Scene Modes.” He noted that the L120 is built well, with well designed controls that are easily accessible, and simple enough for anyone to use. He added that the video mode “is a breeze to use.” Flacy concluded by saying “The Nikon COOLPIX L120 is a very appealing compact super-zoom,” adding, “I think you’ll enjoy the photos it produces.”
