LOVE THIS CAMERA
I got this camera as a Christmas present and it is a amazing camera. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone. This is my first Nikon camera and is by far better than any other brand. This camera has so many cool features and very easy to operate.

I finally got one
I got this camera in Las Vegas 2 wks ago. It has a lot of features not found in other cameras I have. I especially like the projector feature,,i.e.-big, clear, bright pictures shown on any white surface. It didn't take long to learn all the great features it has. The instruction book is easy to read. I used up a 4gb card 1st day I had it and got an 8gb card I was having sooo much fun taking stills and videos. It was easy to down-load pix to a laptop and edit/send from there. This camera would make a great Christmas gift.

Fun Idea but a few Glitches
I got the PJ S1100 camera after doing a lot of research on the various digitals that are out. I took the plunge because of the projector, and it's truly a head turner. I love the option of seeing the pics on a wall or showing my pictures to my friends. The playback mode is archaic, however. If you delete a picture in the middle of a playback, it defaults back to the beginning of your shots. That's a lot of time and wasted energy to have to go back to the beginning of your memory card. Nikon says it's the camera and not the software. The projection is cool, but make the movies are taken in good light. Otherwise, you won't be able to view them. I'd give this camera a 3 out of 5 stars.

love the features.
i'm not that much of a critique about cameras but by reading the specs its totally awesome and as long as the camera takes a "picture perfect" shot i'd buy it.. i have nikon s210 which, sometimes i'm having some difficulties adjusting the ISO and focusing while taking pictures.
well i guess i just found the answer to my problem which is the nikon coolpix S1100pj. the good thing about this camera is the built in projector 'coz you can share and view photos which one at a time and not by borrowing your camera one by one and view the pictures. with the built in projector everyone will be able to see same pictures you want to see and it minimizes the exhaustion of the battery so you can take more pictures.
I will definitely tell my mom to buy me one

This product feels cheap
This camera feels like it is made out of cheap plastic, and it is a clunker. It feels like there is a lot of open space inside the camera, and that the plastic enclosure outside the interior of the camera, is cheap and delicate. It doesn't perform that well, I much prefer my old camera.

Very Disappointed
I got this camera for christmas from my parents because my other camera broke and i wanted a really cool camera. Well i didn't get that. It was very cheap feeling, almost like plastic or like it was fake. Yeah it projects the pictures on the wall but thats about it. There is no forced flash mode so 80% of my pictures were dark and blurry because for some reason the auto flash doesn't work right. It never flashes when I'm in doors or at night time. Its very hard to use the touch screen because it gets stuck/delayed. I am just disappointed over all especially since the price of the camera is so high.

not at all rugged
took it to the beach, kept in case which was in a bag and was very careful but still, a grain of sand and it is busted. First camera that did that in 40 years.

This product was disappointing
The quality of photos are not even close to what I would expect from a $400 camera. The pictures are dull and the various photo modes don't help. The projector feature is the only great thing about this camera.

Hate this camera
My husband and I both hate this camera and wish we had returned it in a timely fashion. Every shot is soft/blurry. Not intuitive to use. Loved my Canon PowerShot; when it was stolen thought I'd give Nikon a try. Will purchase another Canon PowerShot next time.

This Product was very bad
I bought two cameras for my daughters , one of them took blurred picture from the beginning and never been used it is out for repair. the other one was taking good pictures once in a while but sometimes were blurry. unfortunatly she lost her camera, otherwise that would be sent for the repair too. I would never recommend this camera.I am extremely disappointed at this product.

Bought it 4 powerpoint presentations & cannot
The directions to be able to show powerpoint presentations are impossible because they are so complicated. I have gone to the TROUBLE to convert the files and the camera does not recognize them. Hope someone can help me.

The video quality can be chosen from a little screen activated menu. I have not tested the lenghth of a recording yet - but I assume two things.1) you can record for as long as your batter lasts and there is room on the flash card.
2) you will probably not film a 2 hour movie on this thing. I see it as a 'scene' recorder.
It DOES record audio. And in projector mode - you get to preview the audio right along with the video from a tiny speaker built into the case.

The shutter is activated from a hardware button on top of the camera. Press and hold to focus - press and click to snap a picture. To begin a recording there is a little red button on the back face of the camera to the right of the LCD. They've made it easy to switch recording modes ( ie HD or VGA qVGA ) by finger nail tapping an arrow on the touch screen and choosing the CamCorder Icon.Apr 13, 2011 by

There are lots of different that make SD cards which are class 6 or above. Though manufacturers like Lexar and Sandisk are probably the most poplular, other manufacturers such as Kingston, Sony, PNY also make SD cards, which should work.Answer:
