I do agree with you, it could be nice if there was some way of adjusting the sensitivity on video recording indoors where there isnt enough light in the room to record properly! Clearly if there isn't enough light for the aperture of the camera you are using, there isn't enough light?

Why does inserting my new SD card provides the error, "This card cannot be used."?
However, upon inserting the memory into my new camera - I am told that "This card cannot be used." A reason for this silly issue is not provided, and I am left to guess what I should buy next since the camera can't support this wonderful memory card and there is no information on the website regarding why this isn't working.

Turned on my Coolpix S8100 before plugging into the computer to transfer photos and after transferring photos my camera will not turn on.
I realize now that I should not have turned the camera on before loading since the computer program does that.

Camera will not turn on, lens are still extended. Battery will not charge on the charger or on the computer.
The battery has been used and charged about 5 times, Is it possible the battery would go bad this fast, and how can I tell if it is still good?
