I recently had some 4x6 prints that seemed to be crops of the entire photo, as though 5x7 would have shown the entire captured image.

Receiving Lens error message on display and lens is frozen

I just recently purchased a Nikon Coolpix S6000 (without a warranty) and the lens cover suddenly will not retract. Is there anything easy I can do?

It doesn't effect the images yet, But I'm a perfectionist and it bugs me. any solutions?

like how can i charge it but i dont want to buy a new charger?

Whenever I record HD videos (720p) on the Coolpix S6000 they play back fine on the camera, but they are very jumpy when I import them to the computer. The audio is still clear. The picture looks like it's jumping every 2 to 3 seconds or so. How do I fix this?

My camera was working fine last night today i tryed turning it on and all i see is blurry i reset everything to default but it doesnt help

When I plug in my USB the pictures download, but the videos do not. I have tried downloading the View NX2. All that did was put a folder in my program files. I am still unable to download my videos.

I fully charged the battery but the camera won't turn on. The light on top doesn't even turn green.

7 month old nikon s6000 (got for christmas 2010) the camera was fully charged, and we went to a bbq and when I tried to take a picture, the camera turned on, the lens came out, then the lens went back in, and it wouldnt turn back on. I put it back on the charger, and left it overnight, (thinking the battery would cycle like a cordless drill battery) and the next day i tested it, turned it on, took a picture, then turned it back off, then later that day alot of family from far away and us all met at the monterey bay aquarium I tried to turn it on and it wouldnt. so i have no pictures from any of these get togethers, completely upset, i hadnt used it in a month, until i charged it last night, and today, I tested it again, and it worked, so we drove 3 hours and at a birthday party, and i turned it on, and it took about 10 pictures then it closed up. I turned it back on, took about 10 more pictures, and it closed up again.. completely random. completely weird.
this is not my first nikon, but it is my first nikon point and shoot, and this is really becoming frusterating.
help would be appreciated.

I always carry my camera and like to take a lot of pictures and print them out later. What image mode should I use? My goal would be to take a lot of pictures and still have good 4 x 6 print quality.

My camera will be fine and take a picture, then everything goes blurry. I have to turn it on and off several times for it to work. Also, wont focus at all to take video

I was using my camera and all of a sudden it locked up and powered down with lens open and everything! It wont turn on and i get nothing. I can plug the camera into my computer and the power button lights up and the green light on back of camera will flash but wont do anything else. It will do that for couple secs and then power down and up in a cycle over and over. The battery is fully charged. I am guessing I will have to send in for warranty! Any suggestions?

I need a camera that will embed the time and date on the actual photo and print it this way. I have found a few but it will only work with the lowest "postcard" setting or with the stock software package. Can you direct me to a camera in the $ 200.00 range that will do this?

I've fully charged the battery using the wall plug adaptor, but when I turn the camera on it automatically turns off within a matter of seconds. I've used this method of charging the battery before without any problems. The camera is only 1.5 years old. Do I need a new battery? Or is the camera dead?

I have been using my s6000 for a while without problems. I stopped using it for about 5 months and took it out to charge, and instead of a green blinking light, I got a red solid light. No charge. Unable to turn on. Nothing has changed with accessories. No damage, no water, have tried cleaning the battery contacts, have taken out the sd card... NOTHING. Computer does not recognize it either, nor does it give "new device found". Can not check menu as camera does not turn on. Do I need a new camera? I dont want to waste money on a new battery. I have even tried keeping it plugged in without battery and still get the solid red light.
