Very poor product This is the second time am buying Nikon products and l am very disappointed with it. I am now stocked with two different cameras that is not working due to lens not coming out and sincerely frustrated about it. Especially when you call the customer service and they give you the run around. I will never buy Nikon products again nor will l recommend it. May 7, 2014
Still works years later.. I first bought the camera along with 2 others the same (as Christmas gifts) in December of 2011. I took mine along with me for the first few months of owning it through military training ventures and captured some great pictures both on and off duty. After returning home around 8 months later, I stored it away and hadn't touched it again until last week (December 2013). The battery had drained of course but a simple recharge and it was good to go again. Snapped a few pics and videos and it works just as good as day 1. Unfortunately for the two I had purchased for others as Christmas gifts along with my own.. Those did not last long at all. Most due to owner misuse and neglect. It's been a good camera for the price. January 3, 2014
Bad Camera Decision I purchased this camera due to its size. Within the first few weeks it stopped working and I had to send it to Nikon for repairs. When it was returned, the camera started putting spots on the pictures. It looked like a dirty lens, but was not. I returned it to Nikon and it was fixed!!! But that only lasted a few months and the spots returned. I figured it was not worth returning. Hopefully this series of camera has been discontinued. September 10, 2013
Still love it! Bought mine back in August 2010 and loved it then & still love it now. This is the first Nikon I have owned and will eventually get a new one. It still takes amazing pictures for me! Back when I bought mine, my niece loved it, so I got her one for Christmas that year. As far as my battery goes, I still have the original battery in mine! With proper care it has lasted a very long time, and yes I do take tons of photos & videos! Plus I use either a 4 or 8 gb memory cards in mine! Would I get another Coolpix camera in the future? Yes, I would! June 15, 2013
LOVED it Bought this camera about two years ago, for a trip in the states, this camera worked amazing. The battery didn't take long to charge, and it lasted for days with a full charge! Pulled it out today as it has been sitting in a box for about 4 months and the battery was still charged! Images were clear and I always got compliments about the pictures that were taken with this camera! A GREAT investment! -- Attached are photos that were taken with the camera! January 23, 2013

I have had my Nikon coolpix s3000 for a little over a year. It charges fine when plugged into the wall. The same cord is used for the wall charger as well as the computer charger. When it goes into the computer the yellow light turns on like it is charging, yet the screen in black. I want to upload photos yet am unable to do so. IPHOTO pops up on my Mac, yet it seems to not detect the camera. The cord can charge it, so I do not think the cord is bad. Why is the screen black and not offering me an upload option? It takes photos fine ect. and I tried to take out the battery (yet that would not matter anyway because that is not how it's charged) Any help would be great. Thank you

recorded 220.8mb video of dance on Nikon coolpix 3000...cannot view/replay on camera when it gets to this file is comes up w/ a blank picture and states "file contains no image data" however, the amount of available video space has decreased.... when I go to transfer pictures on computer using NIKON transfer...it shows there is a video...no picture shown, but that there is 220.8mb to transfer. When it gets to this file, it shuts down saying "connection between camera and computer lost" but everything is still plugged in. How can i get this recording...is very important to me. I have unplugged, taken out card and re-inserted...can't get it to come up

It says that every time I take a video, after about 3 seconds of recording, it automatically stops and says "card cannot be read". What could it be? I use a SanDisk 4GB. It never gave me this problem when I was recording. Also, as soon as I take a picture, it'll stay on the picture for about 7 or 8 seconds and it's running slow. Never had this problem either, help? :(

When my camera died today, it said "battery exhausted", which has never happened. I tried charging it, and nothing seemed to change. I also took the battery out and out it back in, thinking maybe it wasn't connecting or something. The camera is a year and three months, is it time for a new battery, or a new camera?

Hi, I am interested if there is any way to make expsure time longer than 1s, I saw that in some modes you can have exp. up to 4 s but ISO than is so low, so I cannot capture stars etc.
Thank you very much
