COOLPIX L110 4.3 5 303 304
COOLPIX L110 This is an excellent product! Good thing about it is simple to use with a variety of features to make it simpler. All you do is set the feature and shoot the camera. I even got one for my niece and she also likes it cause it is easy to use. She is only 17 years old. July 23, 2010
Brilliant Picture quality, features, clarity, ease of use, and quality of package: all top marks from my limited experience. Several remarks about the color and high quality of the pictures were given me, and I put the onus on the camera as deserved. The camera does all the detail work, just point and shoot; the image steadying device works remarkably well. Only improvement could possibly be size and placement of the buttons, and a titanium shell.... but the affordability might change. I can again pursue my hobby after a long hiatus due to focusing issues; Thank you for an excellent product. July 23, 2010
Nice Point & Shoot Nice Camera. Far exceeds any pocket point & shoot. Great balance and fits your hands well. Easy to use controls and functions. Takes great photo's and battery life is good. July 23, 2010
Best camera ive ever owned PERIOD! i use this camera everywhere. I needed a camera to take VERY close up pics of my firearms and it definatly does the job. About a 1/4" away with NO distortion or out of focus. I also use it for recording video at the stockcar races & it does an excellent job. I put a 4 gig card in it but i want to put the maximum 16 gig in it. July 23, 2010
Very sharp pictures and color easy to operate Had to replace my old camera, that I dropped and broke. I looked at several brands and models. Some had to many bells and whistles for me and the wife.I needed a camera that I could point and shoot and have great pictures. This is the one to buy. I would recommend this one to everyone that wants good pictures easy to operate. July 23, 2010
The camera is very easy to use! We just took our first trip and used the L110 to capture family and friends enjoying life. I did not have an opportunity to read the entire manual before departing and was amazed at the quality of the pictures for a first time use. This is a real user friendly camera just take a tripod to get the long range shots. July 23, 2010
the camera is outstanding the camera is probably more than i will ever need but it is by far the best camera i have had. i bought it to take a trip to italy and wanted something that would take good scenery shots and it is outstanding. the 15x feature is great you need to be very steady when using it.but all of the other features are great. i especially used the museum feature of the camera which was very effective. the only issue i have is on portraits if the person moves it is blurry. that maybe my issue in finding the correct setting. July 23, 2010
This product is awesome! this camera is great. Very easy to use. Takes great pictures. July 23, 2010
This product is fun to capture moments with I like this camera, it's a step up from my old one and yet, it has the conveniece of all the fancy gadgets that can be used easily. I would recommend this product. it's small, yet you can do a lot with it. July 23, 2010
Could easily be just a video camera As close to being an DSLR as you can get. Fast enough for sports even on automatic settings. Pictures come out perfect in any light. The video is amazing - looks as good as BD on my 42" plasma. It's very comfortable and easy to use, large lcd is easy to see even in sunlight. Anti-shake feature works very well - I'm not that steady and haven't had a bad shot yet. July 23, 2010
Quality The photos are very high quality, clarity, 6color, detail. My only wish is that I bought a camera with more zoom however, that would drive the cost to unaffordable. Therefore, for the money, this is an excellent camera. Thank you Nikon. July 23, 2010
Great little Nikon for beginners and intermediates This is my take-it-everywhere camera. It is simple to use, produces sharp, brilliant pictures and is easy to program manually when taken off automatic. It is a great secondary camera to my Nikon D80. July 23, 2010
LOVE IT!! I am in love with this camera!! This is my first Nikon, I could not be happier!! I love taking pictures, I am not a pro but wanted a nice camera for taking pics. I have had numerous compliments on pics I have taken people seriously think they are professional pics of my kids. I upload my pics to a website & have them printed & have never had a problem with any of my pics. I highly recommend this camera!! July 23, 2010
excellent product for the price Great camera with many features and a wide to telephoto lens that would require a large camera bag with my old system. I am still learning how to use new features every day. Having four grandchildren this is one of the best investments I have made to preserve the time spent with them. The movie mode in high def with stereo is the best ...... Thanks Nikon for a great product. July 22, 2010
Well satisfied with this camera Took me a while to get to used this camera but have come to like it very much. I would suggest this L110 to any one. July 22, 2010
great camera camera does it all its a great toy and fun to use`take quality pictures. July 22, 2010
Great Product for the Price Great value for the money. Photo quality and video is amazing. Nice that you can zoom while taking HD video. Something I'd expect on an actual video camera. Takes a bit getting used to how it focusses on objects and scenes. May need some work in the technology in being more responsive to grab the focus of the scene. Took alot of out of focus shots initially. Photo quality degrades considerably in digital zoom mode. Overall a great improvement over my Fuji sd8000 camera. July 22, 2010
This is a Great Camera This is my first Nikon. I have been an avid 35mm photographer for several years. 3 years ago I was given my first digital camera which was a 5 megapixal, 4x zoom. It was a good basic camera to learn on, but I soon found that I wanted a camera with more zoom. I did a lot of research and decided on the L110. The only real complaint I have is that it does not have a view finder, but I have adapted to the LCD screen and am doing fine. I have just changed the batteries for the 1st time(after 3 months of use) and that was a big factor in choosing this camera. I am very pleased so far and imagine this may be my last camera as I am 73 years old. July 22, 2010
a great camera !! for the price point, this camera is very nice. the features are easy to use, and quick to understand !! July 22, 2010
This camera takes some of the best pictures. I have never owned a camera that has taken photos of this quality before. I enjoy using it's many features to perfect the shot and take some outstanding photos. July 22, 2010
Quality photos. Quality constructioon.Easy to use. I am still a lousy photographer; but this camera at least gives me a fighting chance. Quality construction, great lens and picture quality at 12.1 megapixils, huge display, easy to use, great features, excellent value. July 22, 2010
great For the price you cant beat it i own 3 other cameras 2 10 meg. And 112 meg and my coolpix l100 takes the best pictures bar none July 22, 2010
Great for the Price Camera is great but you have to read the manual to ensure that you use proper settings. Using the auto mode is nice outdoors. For indoor shots, read the manual. The telephoto mode is great. Took some really nice shots and the camera focuses itself depending how close you are to the subject. Have had another brand digital camera and gave it to my son. The other as comparably priced but no where near the quality of the L110. July 22, 2010
Lifesaver! As a lifelong Nikon SLR user and collector, I thought my Photophile life was over when my hand numbness and partial blindness happened. Then along came Nikon with the L110. WOW! Fifteen time zoom....Three inch bright finder...High definition Video....plenty of megapixels for large prints....manual adjustments not necessary (nor possible)...lower price than my latest Nikon zoom lens...WOW! July 22, 2010
WOW What a camera This camera is very easy to use. I am a novice at picture taking and the camera allows me to go in close, or take pictures of things far away. The pictures are crisp, almost freezes action and it is very intuitive. I highly recommend this camera. July 22, 2010
Love this Camera This is the best camera I have ever had it is great couldnt believe all the things it could do . Very clear pics and great zoom. July 22, 2010
Excelent!!! I picked this camera because it was a Nikon.I never owned a digital camera before, but I trusted the brand name. Im not much of an expert taking photos, but this camera is Awesome! Easy to learn to use and the software works great with windows. Worth every penny! July 22, 2010
I love it, but.................. Absolutely love this camera, for the most part it does precisely as i expected it and perhaps a little more. I bought it because i wanted the extra optical zoom available with the camera, my only issues are that i should have bought a camera with more zoom and with lenses that you manually zoom, it just would work better for me. The only other issue is that i do not like the autofocus, but that's not the cameras fault, it's mine, i knew i didn't like autofocus, but at the time i couldn't afford anything more. The pictures, when i take them right, are truly wonderful, far better than i could have expected for the price. thanks for reading, hope it helps July 22, 2010
Very nice camera good value We wanted a Nikon with a viewfinder as well as an LCD, but were unable to justify the upgrade cost at this time. This camera is taking superb pictures. I do not use the supplied software, I simply remove the card and treat it as a drive with other software such as JASC. July 16, 2010
Great product Excellent camera, awesome software, Nikon Transfer and View NX take some time to learn but are worth the investment. Wish the lense was threaded for external filters, other than that a great investment. July 15, 2010

I just purchased this camera and out of the box most of my photos are blurry and the auto focus fails to take clear pictures. When photographing my children, if they move ever so slightly I get an awful photo. Are there any settings that I can change to fix these problems? My wife and I are becoming very frustrated since we spent quite a bit of money on this camera...please help!

Also, the sports continous mode, I've found, though not high quality photos, will usually take pretty good ones. If you click quickly, it will only take one picture so you won't end up cogging up your camera with duplicates.

Answer:
The COOLPIX L110 is designed to be easy and automatic to use, so there is no actual Manual Mode, however for more selectable control options, start in Auto Mode, then press Menu. This will show all the adjustable categories.

i thought this camera was suppose to be fast thats what sold me on this camera. Mine has been very slow at taking pictures i dont know if i have it on the wrong settings but everytime i take a picture with my friends they move because they thought i took the picture but it didn't. Also when i do finally take a picture it takes a little bit to show up, its as if its delayed. I don't know if it's just me or is my camera messed up?

Answer:
I have the same exact issue with my camera. As much as I absolutely love Nikon and this camera, at times I have to shut it off and restart it in order to get pics. At other times the button won't even work and I can't take a pic at all (unless I shut it off again). I also see the big delay as well at times, mostly when the lighting isn't that great or flash is on. Again, I love the camera, but big problems with it in that respect....and many of my family members have the same camera because I referred them to it and each one of them has the same problem at times! I'm a bit dissapointed since I use mine to take pictures for other people.

Answer:
if you get the blue screen on your pc, it's very possible your USB port is malfunctioning. try using another USB slot, if it still happens, there's a good chance you'll have to have your motherboard replaced (in your pc, that is).

I just got my camera in December, and I recently have just started getting problems with it. Whenever I turn it on, a white screen will pop up saying "Battery Exhausted!" I've tried putting many new batteries, I've made sure that the batteries were in the right way, but nothing will work. I'm frustrated and I just want it fixed so I don't have to get a new one :(

Answer:
If it is not an internal error that you have to get fixed, make sure that you have the right battery type in (Alkaline, COOLPIX (Ni-MH), Lithium) and choose which one you have in: Menu-Settings-Battery type. this may not actually be your batteries exhausted just a misread because you have the wrong type selected. I had the same problem with mine until I changed the type to the correct one. Hope this helps!

Answer:
As far as your zooming problem goes, I don't know what that could be from. Your best bet is to contact Nikon Support. Your flash problem may be simple, sometimes the flash on the L110 can kind of be painfully slow to load up. This is because it has to charge, if this is the problem it is as simple as waiting a bit before you can take pics with the flash. If not, contact Nikon Support. Hope this helps!
