Fantastic Point-And-Shoot I purchased this to take places that I don't dare take my dSLR, and as a superb backup to the places I do take the dSLR. Although, by design, it doesn't equal my D5100 by any means, it is a top-notch camera. The durability can't be beat as long as you take basic care of it by blowing off dust and drying it if it gets wet. The pictures are crystal clear and the camera is amazingly easy to use. I take it everywhere and have never been disappointed. March 12, 2012
Pretty Great, Great Price, Great Features I purchased the red l110 in march and it takes brilliant photos and has some great features. Its rapid shot is good, it has a best shot selector, self timer and smile detection called smart photo. It has amazing close up abilities and I highly recommend it to anyone who is not up for a super expensive DSLR but still wants amazing zoom and high quality. You have to buy rechargeable batteries seperately and it is slightly bulky. But its amazing! July 23, 2010
MY BACKUP CAMERA This camera was my primary digital camera until I bought a Nikon SLR. I've had it since it was released and have had no problems. Photo quality is excellent as well as ease in taking quality photos. The "AA" batteries is one of the prime reasons for purchase and hasn't let me down. Still using this one as a backup when I don't want to take my SLR into situations that could a hazard. This gem keeps on ticking. Still turns alot of heads because of the red color. February 9, 2013
Maximum flexibility from a point and shoot My baby, lol. I've shot everything from the hair on a bee's back to moon shots with this one. Weddings and portraits. Set it for high resolution images and they come out crystal clear and perfect for enlarging. I love the software which comes with it as well. This camera has both taught me a whole lot about photography and produced some incredible and marketable images. You can't change lenses with this one, but the built in capabilities are worth at least 3 different lenses on a dslr. Didn't have permission to share portraits, but added photos for anyone to see. GREAT camera! November 24, 2012
I love this camera! One of the best purchases I have made. Photos are stunning and the camera is so durable! I took this with me while I was camping in Kenya for 6 weeks, where we got both dust storms, and a flood. And yet I came home with stunning photos and a still functioning camera! November 10, 2012

I have Coolpix L110 which is owned by me a year ago.
These days it shows a 'Battery Exhaust' message when i take photos with VR (vibration reduction) enabled. Problems also happens for VR (hybrid).

I had tried recharging the battery, cleaned the contacts, tried it with Alkaline also (Alkaline worked for 2 photos [12M*] with VR enabled). I have also checked if i have selected the proper battery type in the camera menu.

Do i need to contact the service ?
What will be the problem?

I have a Coolpix L110. I am trying to take a picture of soft, cream colored fabrics. I am inside with natural lighting provided by the sun. On a standard color setting the cream color comes out a bright white. Needless to say, thevivid color setting is not an option. I have experimented with the white balance setting and all of the other custom settings on the camera. Any ideas would be welcome.

Answer:
The COOLPIX L110 is a compact digital camera with a 15X zoom fixed lens. It is not an interchangeable lens camera. For cameras with interchangeable lenses check out Nikon's line of DSLRs and the Nikon1 line.

When I hold the button halfway to get the focus, and then try to shoot my camera will not take the picture? It says "1/4 F3.5" or "1/2 F4.3" or similar on the screen, but doesn't do anything? I have reset the factory defaults. (I am not a photographer, and so I wanted to make sure I didn't inadvertently mess something up.) How do I get it to work?

Answer:
Make sure that the camera is in a scene mode that allows flash to be used. Particular scene modes allow auto flash which allows the camera to use the flash as needed. The camera can be adjusted to use fill flash in portrait mode to fire the flash all the time when the camera in use. Please contact Nikon Technical Support for help with this question.
