I find this little camera worth it's price having many cameras in my life time, petri, Pentax, canon
And using others camera . I am currently looking into the Nikon d7100 camera. My Nikon s220.
Didn't have any of the fore mention problems. I might suggest looking into settings for those who have
Grainy pictures and get a good sd card. I was amazed at what picture I have taken with this camera
For those who think it is junk camera then do research and try other camera as for me it will be Nikon
Invest in a good camera and make it a hobby. I highly recommend this camera for beginners

best camera ever!
i got this camera two years ago. it was the best i love it so much it took great pictures at the beach or out camping. i am looking for a new one because i dropped mine and the lens went crooked and we arnt able to fix it great camera i love it

AWESOME
i gave this to my ten year old daughter for her birthday cause it was the one she picked out. She dropped it many times and all it did was give it a scratch. it took a nice quality pictures and videos. i would recomend this for anyone

What I like
An amazing camera for my needs. I photograph vacant land for business purposes. In the beginning I favored my Sony Mavica until it went blank on me. As a back up camera the shots it took were many times better, if not superior to the Sony. The clouds, skies, mountains, trees and land features were sharper, crisper and more enjoyable to view and very pleasing to my demands for my business. I applaud Nikon for an inexpensive camera. Now I want to see what their camcorders will do.

GREAT!
This camera has been all around great! I love it, got it about 4 months ago for my birthday and use it all the time. the pictures are wonderful, as well as the video. :)

This camera was not design to be charge thru a computer. You may use the MH-63 charger.

I have an "out of memory" message on my Coolpix S220 when I turn it on. It's a new 2GB Kodak memory card that has been cleared of the old pix.
I know the memory card is good, b/c it held about 200 pictures from this past summer that I've since downloaded and deleted from the card. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I uses a SDHC Card whihc is 16GB. Is this too high for S220 camera?
Asking this because I tried using it during my holiday and was disappointed after taking about 10 pictures and got an error message "Out of Memory". This SC card is a new card.

when I plug in the camera into the USB port of the MAC nothing happens, while on a PC the device is detected and will ask what is that you want to do: download, clear camera, etc.

I find that with a MAC, when you plug your camera into the USB port, software does't always pop up automatically. You may need to open your photo editing software first and use it to detect your camera and get your images. Hope this helps.Jan 6, 2012 by

There is a very small sliding switch on the edge on the sd card, slide it in the opposite direction it is now Usually lock is dowm and unlock is up.
