Testimonials

"As a first time attendee of the Mentor Series to the New Orleans Speedlight Workshop, what did I expect? Well, a workshop conducted by experienced mentors and a group of interested amateur photographer. What did I get? MUCH more! I had a wonderful experience with Mentors eager to help me learn, with great patience and a great group of skilled interested partners in learning. A wonderful team experience with like-minded attendees, a great learning experience led by patient engaged mentors and a fast paced, busy schedule let by our coordinators. Will I go again? When can I get the next plane?"
—Jeff Eble

"This was my second Mentor Series Trek and it was just as enjoyable and informative as the first. The Mentor Series was top notch making sure everyone’s needs were addressed and did their best to keep us on schedule. The instructors although having different shooting styles were very knowledgeable, approachable and eager to impart some of their knowledge to you. I have gained a lot of insight from the digital review sessions."
—Wayne March

"While there were many wonderful locations, it’s the experiences that happen along the way that made the weekend in California so special. Learning how to light paint from Dave Black, hiking out of Rainbow falls with Michael Schwarz, carpooling with my fellow trekkers, witnessing a couple of gorgeous sunsets at Bodie & Mono Lake, and a sunrise at Mono Lake were all highlights for me. The Mentor reviews and final slide show provided a valuable chance to learn not only from the mentors but my fellow trekkers. It’s always fun to see how you can take a group of photographers to the same locations and everyone see things so differently!"
—Debbie Abrames

"I came to the Minnesota video workshop really excited about learning how to capture the movement of the sled dogs with my HD-SLR. Thank you for the Nikon loaner. I enjoyed learning a new video skill set and be a part of the Minnesota video."
—Stefan Jhagroo

"I hope everyone experienced the sense of satisfaction that I did at having produced images of which I could be proud of. Every day was the highlight of the trip. I guess that’s a testament to the quality of the experience."
—Jack Kleinman
