Supplying great products and service to our customers is a top priority for Nikon. To provide you with the service you need for your Nikon product, please take note of the information provided on this page.
To have your product serviced, please contact your Nikon Inc. dealer or your Nikon Inc. Factory Service Facility. Nikon Inc. and our dealer network take great pride in our service facilities, and our trained technicians use only genuine Nikon parts to fix your equipment. But before sending in your product, please write down the model and serial number and keep it for your reference.
- What to Include When Shipping Your Product to Nikon Inc.?
You should pack your product safely and securely. Then, be sure to enclose the following information with your product:
- Return Address
- Telephone Number
- Written Description of the Problem
- Copy of your Proof of Purchase (if still under the terms of the original warranty). Please note that Nikon Inc. warranties do not cover misuse or abuse, including tampering by unauthorized persons.
We recommend the following procedure for shipping and handling;
- Secure the product in the original box and packaging if available.
- We also recommend insuring the product via the carrier.
- Obtain a tracking number when available.

Send your product to the address below, according to where you reside within the United States. All scanners should be sent to the Melville, NY address for your repair or service regardless of your location.

- How To Ship Your Product To Nikon For Service
- Secure the product in a shipping box with 2-3 inches of packing material surrounding the product. Please do not ship in the original display box as it does not provide enough protection.
- We recommend insuring the product for replacement value.
- We recommend using a shipping company that provides a tracking number, like UPS, and for you to write down the product name, serial number, and tracking number in case needed.
- Your Return Shipping address. (We require a physical street address for returns as we cannot ship to
a PO Box). - Your email address
- Your phone number
- Description of the problem
- A Copy of your proof of purchase
- Ship your product to us with all freight, duty brokerage, and shipping prepaid. Shipping to Nikon is not covered.
- Please confirm what paperwork is needed to receive your repaired product back through your countries Customs service. Please keep copies of all your paperwork as they will be necessary for re-importation of the product upon return to your country.
- Please describe the item properly and fully, i.e. “digital camera model L3”.
- If the service is covered by our warranty, we will cover the shipping freight cost to you.
- Any and all Duties, Taxes and Service Fees imposed on the return shipment are your responsibility.
- We ship internationally via UPS therefore please provide your street address for your return shipment if at all possible.
- a. We also prefer not to receive accessories, like batteries or digital cards, unless we need them to evaluate the product’s issue.
Please include:
- a. Please include a copy of the receipt even if 1) the problem is not a warranty issue or 2) the product is outside of the warranty period.
FOREIGN CUSTOMERS - SHIPPING YOUR PRODUCT TO NIKON USA FOR SERVICE
International shipping is a complex matter that requires special documentation and procedures in both the USA and your country. If your product was purchased from the US, has a Nikon USA warranty, and is being sent to Nikon USA for warranty evaluation or service after the warranty period is past, please include paperwork requested by your local Customs agency and Nikon so that we may receive in the USA.
