Best point and shoot cam
This camera is one of the best point and shoot cam I've ever seen. I'm using it for the last 3 years and its working fine. Picture quality is too god. Just point and shoot. No extra knowledge is required. Slick, easy to carry and easy to point. there should no question regarding picture quality. Awesome cam. I'm proud to have a one like this. Just carry it like a cigarette box and can shoot anything anywhere any time.

great quality!
i bought this camera when I got really into photography and wanted a sleek, quality and affordable camera, and man has it been great! I've had it for about 2 years now and it's still working great! :)
i particularly use it for taking pictures of my Siberian Huskies, and it captures their gorgeous features and takes outstanding photos!

very good product
I purchased this particular camera b/c I have seen the commercials and have also heard a lot of great stuff about it from friends. Also, at the time I purchase it during the time my baby was in the Nicu and wanted to capture ever moment. I've been using it ever since for every event in my baby's life and it does the job well.

This camera is easy to use, works great, and is very easy to keep on you at all times so you never miss any of those precious moments.

Excellent photos
I like this camera a lot, it takes wonderful closeups, has a fast recovery time between shots, and good battery life. It is small enough not be be a burden and is easy to use. My only complaint is the lack of a viewing window which is not uncommon in small cameras. The sun tends to wash out the screen and make composing pictures difficult in full sun. This is not a fault of the Nikon camera as all screeens will do that in direct sunlight.

You have grid mode on.Switch off the Grid mode from the menu. You'll not that yellow grid lines any more.

Remove the battery from the camera and re-charge it. Please reset the camera to default settings:Go to MENU > Setup > Reset All

How can I get my s210 to recognize new pictures to download?
Can't get my s210 to recognize new pictures to download on my PC with the Nikon Transfer. It's been working fine. New pictures are still in it from today. I tried to change the setting to recognize all photo on camera, but, it's not showing any to download. Help??

You press MODE > Setup > Reset all.
I opened the battery/memory compartment to transfer some photos and the battery latch broke/popped off. Im not sure how it happened as I never attempted to remove the battery to transfer the images on the memory card.
Can this be fixed? I don't want to get another camera as a result of this.

There is no need to call in advance for any approval or authorization; simply send the product in for evaluation with no accessories, unless part of the issue, and a photocopy of the receipt. Once logged in, service will send you a confirmation.

My Nikon Coolpix s210 camera's USB cable doesn't fit into the outlet on the camera anymore. I'm not sure what happened to it but nothing registers on my camera or computer. I was wondering if it was possible to purchase another cable.

Is is possible to get the SD card latch repaired. The latch on my camera will no longer hold the memory card in place.
The screen displays "no memory available". I've tried different memory cards and the result is the same. The latch holds momentarily but usually launches the memory card into the air before I can close the Battery/Memory access door. Presently the camera is not useable.

I charged the battery all last night, put it in, and still no result. My camera has been like this for like almost 2 years now. Before it wouldn't turn on, it has lens error, after I fixed that it stopped working. I really want to use this camera again. All of it's other parts are working and are perfectly fine. It just won't turn on.

If you already tried to recharge the battery, try a backup battery. You are welcome to send your camera for evaluation if the problem persists.
After plugging the charger into my camera and the outlet in the wall, the green light flashes to indicate it is charging. Within a few seconds though the light stops flashing and turns red. The battery does not charge and I am not sure how to fix this.

The COOLPIX S210 doesn't have the feature to charge the battery inside the camera. In order to charge the camera you'll need to take out the battery and place it in the charger.
