To heck and back I was given this camera during training for an upcoming deployment to Iraq. I had it in my cargo pocket during my 10 month deployment and used it frequently. It survived a lot of abuse and came home with me where it has served as our family camera. Recently it has had some minor issues but I still highly recommend this camera. March 26, 2012
Excellent Value This camera has all the features the average user would ever need. Easy to operate, batteries available anywhere. December 26, 2010
Disappointed When I first purchased this product I believe it to be a quality item. I did not use it a lot over the 2 years I owned the camera and I kept it in the car most of the time. I have always owned Nikon cameras because I thought they were the best. About 6 months ago I started getting a lens error message when I tried to zoom. It still works off and on but I will probably purchase a different brand when I decide to replace it. I did not purchase the extended service plan for replacement if something goes wrong because it was a Nikon. August 22, 2011

September 2008, Nikon COOLPIX P60 | Craig Young

Craig Young from MacLife recently reviewed and tested the Nikon COOLPIX P60. Young called the P60 a straight shooter and a great camera for novice photographers looking to learn more about the functions of a camera as well as for experienced photographers looking to take advantage of the manual controls and other features. The COOLPIX P60 also comes equipped with an electronic viewfinder, 14 unique shooting modes, automatic and program exposure modes, video recording with sound and D-lighting. Young concluded that the P60 was a solid camera pick.
