Popular Photography & Imaging, Winter 2007, Capture NX

Michael McNamara from Popular Photography & Imaging has given a 2006 POP Award to Nikon’s Capture NX software. According to McNamara, the new U Point controls featured in Capture NX allow users to quickly adjust color and contrast for their RAW images and helps fine tune photos without complex masking. McNamara concludes that Nikon Capture NX gives users an abundance of flexibility and is true “software synergy.”

Popular Photography & Imaging, Nikon D200 & Capture NX EISA

Pop Photo reports results from European Imaging and Sound Association yearly awards where two Nikon products won “prestigious awards for both digital imaging hardware and software.” The D200 took home European Camera of the Year for 2006-2007 while Capture NX snagged European Photo Innovation of the Year 2006-2007. “Capture NX has become the first Nikon software package to garner an EISA award.” The official awards ceremony took place in Berlin, Germany on September 1, 2006.

Nikon’s image-editing program, Capture NX, was picked as an American Photo Editor’s Choice for 2006.
