Overall Responsibility:
Troubleshoot, repair, assist, support and maintain products to the highest standards. Test repaired products and provide support data and material. Complete repair in a timely manner. Provide training to technicians.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Repair imaging products.
- Test repaired product to ensure adjustments are completed and are in good working order.
- Ensure product has been completely and properly repaired.
- Provide training and assistance.Document and provide written reports as needed.
Ancillary Responsibilities
- Travel, as necessary, to service events.
- Participate with special projects, as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.
- Maintain repair tools, equipment and the shop environment.
- All other duties as required or needed.
Qualifications:
- Extensive technical knowledge of photo repair; i.e., troubleshooting, disassembly/assembly, soldering
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment; i.e., oscilloscope, frequency counter, generator (wave, DC or AC), VOM
- Knowledge of electronics, mechanics and optics
- Knowledge of photography and Photoshop
- Basic computer knowledge (e.g. Word)
Education, Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years technical experience, preferably in a photography-related industry
- 2 years digital or photography experience
- 2 years technical experience
- Associates Degree, or equivalent, from a technical school
